What size screen MacBook Pro (2021) did you order?

Does anyone know, whether it is possible to use power extension cable from 2011 MacBook Pro? Or is there any problem with wattage or something else?

That would be cool. I have a total of seven MagSafe I and II bricks with the extension cords. The little things are fairly useless if your plugs are loose like you typically find in airports. The MagSafe I bricks have adapters for MagSafe II but we still have three working MagSafe I Macs in the house.

Literally sitting here ripping my hair out... M1 Max not available to order for pickup in store [yet] - Prob won't get delivery till after my flight out of Canada... honestly starting to think about changing my flight to a week later... Appplleeeee whyyyyyy
Mine is a family vacation with the extended family. Probably will leave around lunch time Saturday. I'm right there with you. Sucks that I could miss it by only 2 days/1 business day.

It's up. Just grabbed one for 10:15 am pickup.

Wow, they're in my local store tomorrow. Tempted to bring mine in and exchange it for the base M1 MAX. They are available in all of the MA stores on my list. They are not available today in the three NH stores because they will be flooded with MA residents buying them here to avoid sales taxes in MA. I can't justify an M1 MAX as I do very little content creation and my M1 mini is actually more than enough for that. I also promised some people a video on the M1 MAX with Think or Swim and Active Trader Pro and I'd only do a swap if I didn't open the box.

I'm also not thrilled about going out in the storm today.

Well...it happened.

Pretty much all local stores near me have the 14” I want in stock today. Torture waiting for mine that got rescheduled for tomorrow ?

When I ordered my MacBook (16", M1 Max, 64GB, 4TB) just before 8am eastern, all of my area stores had even the 16" Max, 64 GB with 8TB storage in stock, crazy since my original preorder was not coming until mid November. Surprised fully specced models available.

My local store surprisingly had the BTO config I want. I canceled my preorder after ordering an in store pickup. Hopefully that moves someone up the queue for their online order!

Is there anyone who's been doing some flight tracking out of china noted whether UPS is still contracting with cargo flight companies like Kalitta Air or National Cargo?

I know that this has been done in the past for larger launches. Just trying to gauge if my MBP could end up on one of the flights leaving Shanghai within the hour, destined for Anchorage. I'm really hoping here.
UPS still does this around the holiday peaks. I'm not sure if they do this the rest of the year.

Section (D)(2)(a) of their labor agreement with their pilots permits them to subcontract international flights to cover unexpected peaks in volumes:

I believe Apple has also directly chartered their own capacity from cargo carriers in the past. That's likely how all the MacBooks that shipped domestically entered the country.

If UPS is doing this, you should be able to see it by seeing these planes go into a UPS hub. Here's an Atlas plane that's gone from ANC to SDF for example:

Welp. I had an arrival date for today, then it changed on me and said between Nov 17-24th. What the heck! Called Apple and they are giving me a free $100 bag for the inconvenience. Not sure how to really feel...

Looks like my local store has it available for same day delivery/pickup. I'm just going to cancel my Nov2-7 order and reorder.

DOES anybody know if there's a chance that the estimated pickup and same day delivery estimates could be wrong???
