Did the configuration exactly as before, was able to go through and select a pick up time, and then… Oh well.

Guys, apparently, some BTO 16" MBP delivery dates are changing from the promised Oct 26 all the way to December at the last minute.

UPS truck just drove past my apartment building without stopping and kept going though the complex. I hope to not have the driver try and pull the same crap like he did with the iPhone last month.

Just got my 14-inch (10 core) in Toronto (east side), and am glad I spent the money to buy an external thunderbolt SSD. It’s only been 10 minutes to transfer over 300gb of data from my old machine.

All the Apple Stores around me have stock of these. Maybe I should go buy more LOL. Interestingly, my one that wasn't even in UPS Possession according to their tracking last night before bed has made a mad dash from Louisville to Minneapolis (and even the plane was late) and is now out for delivery with my MBP! Should be here in 2-3 hours!!Ugh! The premium cloth is still stuck at preparing to ship. 🤷♀️

Driver might like me cause I would catch him walking in the complex and ask about my order. One time the UPS driver logged my signature required delivery as “no one was home” when in fact I was home with door wide opened and a screen door. I was so disappointed I called UPS and complained. I could tell they spoke to the driver because when he returned he looked like he wanted to kick my aZZ!!

Guys I just picked up a base 14” I had a BTO 14” with Nov 11-18 delivery. I convinced myself and rightly so that I don’t really need the extra cores and storage ?
I love it. Though I am coming from a 2012, so when they say these are beefy, you have to understand, my 2012 13" is only .2 pounds lighter than the pro 16". ?
😂 Apple finally woke up and decided to ship it. Overnight too! Not via UPS either. Interesting!
Why yes it is... last I checked it was loaded on a truck for delivery. I didn't get a chance to call UPS yesterday ( @TheYayAreaLiving thank you for the awesome info you provided yesterday to have them call and hold) so it'll just be delivered with the rest of the packages. Got a total of 3 coming between 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. so if I'm still at work the second I get the text from UPS letting me know it's been delivered I will be flying home. If not, I'll just babysit it once I do get home.
Oh, it’s nothing fancy - a WD blue 1TB. Normally I buy USB 3.0 enclosures, but this time I spent more and picked up a Sabrent thunderbolt 3 enclosure.

Went to my local Apple store today and couldn't help but notice how thicker was the 16" compared to my existing MBP and the 14". It definitely felt much heavier especially when trying to hold it.
Geekbench on battery was twice as fast on single core and almost 4 times as fast on multicore
I was not impressed by the notch. Felt something was stuck in the middle unless you use the black top bar. Also on full screen mode you use some vertical space compared to the previous ones as the notch is hidden.
