Washington DC. Arrived an hour ago. MacBook Pro 14".
From the looks of the plug, it looks like you can still use your old extension cable. And no, Apple no longer includes the extension cable, only the direct wall plug.
The description makes me think so, I believe the 140W with the new 16 inch is a new product

Setting it up now. A couple of things:
I do miss the cord on the power brick. There are lots of outlets which won't accept their plug on the brick.
I decided to plug in a mouse and keyboard and fortunately I have a USB-C to 4xUSB-A adapter. If you don't have USB-C gear, it can be a nuisance. I so far have all that I need though I might need to get a USB-C to display cable if I want to run two external monitors.

Spirit Lake Hwy on the way to Mt St. Helens! Beautiful drive with twist and turns. Almost ran out of battery up there. Best part? Not single cop in sight. 😀

It's been charging for about five minutes. The power brick is cold and the power cord is also cold. So the old cords seem fine.
The bass on this thing is insane - keep in mind that I'm coming from a Retina MacBook Pro. The difference in the chime sound when starting up is huge. My old Retina MacBook Pros sound tinny in comparison.

First of all, my UPS driver (AKA MBP) is finally IN route and I'm OUT FOR DELIVERY...
I'm cracking up because I just realized that the polishing cloth is actually in stock at my local store so I'm about to CANCEL my ridiculous shipment of this thing for January. I'll just go pick it up at Apple. This cloth will accompany my MBP nicely... (and give me a chance to see the Nike Watch band I'm eyeing in person - I can't remember the name of the color but it's the orangey one). Fun fact, I have an obsession with cleaning cloths so I'm super excited to check out this incredibly overpriced one.
I can tell that as everyone is receiving their shiny new MBP's this thread is sadly winding down.... I love going on this journey with all of you.
I'm just so happy that yesterday we went from a gloomy pouring rain day to a dry and gorgeous one today. So grateful... here's a pic I just snapped of me and my work cat (he is a neighborhood cat and somewhat of a legend where I work) he is called "Fuzzy Pants".

Just letting you know guys that we might have hopes for delivery by end of the week for those in November group (Nov 3-5). I just checked in the morning when I woke up and it went back to delivery scheduled to November 1st with no updates for more than 24 hours. I just checked again and it's changed to rescheduling delivery with new update saying that it is on the way from Shanghai. I feel positive more orders piled up and we will be taking plane to Narita or Incheon (I can see they can go either ways), and will move all the way to Anchorage tonight or latest tomorrow.
I gotta say, we gotta love how UPS keeps playing with us. You want it now? Okay, Monday November 1st. You give up? okay, Friday Oct 29th.

So, do I cancel my order and pray that it reflects instantly on my apple card like it has done for some others (but apple says it will take 3-5 business days) or do I leave my 2-9 delivery order?
Also, after speaking with the 7th person at apple, they changed my delivery address to my billing address when I never said anything about changing the address. After calling back again, someone said that it wasn’t changed. The email from apple would say otherwise. Called back AGAIN to be told the “destination” had been changed but not the shipping address. I’m gonna have a stroke.

Looks like UPS is having backups in Shanghai… delivery was set for Nov 1 but looks like it’ll be here later now.
I'm in the Nov 3-5 crowd and I'm losing hope in this week. My MBP was originally scanned in Shanghai early 10/25. I've been sitting there for 2 days now. Not looking promising. Just got notification of rescheduled delivery. No bueno.

Yep, something's going on. UPS is now telling me to check back tomorrow for a delivery date. It was re-scheduled for Nov. 1, but who knows now.

Mine's by 7 tonight, and had a nice surprise in the spare magsafe cord is arriving too. the extra power supply is still nov 9th.
Sheesh, with all of this hype about the polishing cloth, and since they are available at my Apple store, I'm placing an order for pickup this weekend. I have to drop of my 2nd trade-in, so I'll have a browse and see what other goodies are available.
I'm also looking at the new Touch ID keyboard with numbers pad. The description states that it is compatible with the new M1 MBPs which will be great since it will be docked most of the time. 🤩😁
I really hope you're right. But my hope in delivery this week is now fading at a rapid pace. UPS has a mess on their hands in Shanghai apparently. Keep in mind, there is no Departed from Facility scan still. So we're just sitting in Shanghai.
