What size screen MacBook Pro (2021) did you order?

THANK YOU for that info…
I felt bad all day (8h now) that I can’t cancel my MacBook preorder anymore to get one for pick up at the Apple Store today but I didn’t check stock availability for the faster charger… and there is no stock for the upgraded charger… so I don’t have to feel bad…
I feel way better now… and can enjoy all of the happiness of all those posters who get a Mac today…

Won't lie, I both loved and laughed at this. Yep, that made me feel better too. It's so lame that in our haste we didn't realize there was a faster charger option (I TOTALLY MISSED IT). SIGH.

I suppose I can buy a secondary but I really would rather not.

I started to use my old MBP this morning and all I can say is I am ready for a laptop again (I've been using the 12.9 iPad pro on a MK for the last few months). I do love this iPad but I'm excited to utilize an actual sturdy (beefy, in this case) laptop again.

I don't think I'll sell the iPad either... it's just way too cool... it can probably be my companion when I fly to Paris next month - no way I want to take the new MBP on that trip. You just never know!

Just got my 14-inch (10 core) in Toronto (east side), and am glad I spent the money to buy an external thunderbolt SSD. It’s only been 10 minutes to transfer over 300gb of data from my old machine.

In the past this type of migration would take hours.

There is always the option to do a migration using a Thunderbolt 3 cable...much faster...

I got home and it was delivered 20 minutes ago but it wasn't in the back so I ran out to the front and there was the package. Pretty wet too. I am mildly annoyed at the driver as I have instructions to deliver to the back and this is the first time I can recall them delivering to the front. I'm going to have some lunch and then open it up. I suspect the cardboard is coated so it shouldn't be soaked at all.

Anyone have comments on how the keyboard feels?
The same as the most recent models or different?
I'm coming from a 2013... but it feels nice, very nice.

The heft and bulkiness of the 14" is definitely overstated though... The flatness is REALLY nice and doesn't feel too heavy at all. I can't wait to try out the miniLED display tonight with some media in the dark -- in natural light it is gorgeous!

Also the actual Mac box is wrapped in a polythene (right? I remember they did it before, not sure if things changed).

Mine finally flew from Ontario to Phoenix at 1:18am this morning, processed through Phoenix, trucked to Mesa, and is now out for delivery! I have 11 pages to catch up on since I went to bed last night, but I'm sure yours did too.
WOw, that's incredible! I'm still loaded on the truck and I'm in the same state that the shipments originated from. One of my darn husband's packages is "Preparing for Delivery" (which my MBP status was the same 2 hours ago but has since changed) and I'm praying with all of my might that we get going soon. Typically the trucks leave around 9 (which it is about to be) but I'm side eyeing his stupid package like "Don't muck this up for me, PLEASE" - but also, it's a guitar pedal he is hoping to use for band practice later so I do want it to hop on board so we can all be happy later today. Anyway, even though UPS says 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. delivery time we typically don't see our stuff until AFTER 5 PM. We shall see....

I wish I had just carved out the time to call UPS like Yaya told me to. I forget how crazy the anticipation is!

Oh and in other news, my Apple watch just shipped but it's coming via Fed Ex and it has just begun it's journey from China... (I'll hop on that thread later today maybe... today is pretty much about the MBP's!) but it won't be here until Nov 4th... oh well. That's far better than the 17th-24th estimate they originally gave me.

My BTO 14" M1 Max with 32c GPU, 1TB SSD and 32GB RAM has just shipped via UPS Worldwide Expedited so I expect it on Friday. Apple has always overestimated on delivery times on their website in my experience.

So excited, coming from a ThinkPad E590 with a dying battery!

Looks like my local store has it available for same day delivery/pickup. I'm just going to cancel my Nov2-7 order and reorder.

DOES anybody know if there's a chance that the estimated pickup and same day delivery estimates could be wrong???
I canceled my order and successfully picked up an in store order this morning

@Bea220, Thank you for the kind words. Don’t plan on working on Monday. It’s going to be crazy. During these pre-order times, all we have is each other. It really brings each other together. We all learn from each other. It is during these times we share our feelings, excitement, emotions, anxiety, anticipation and so much more 😆. It makes the whole experience very memorable and unforgettable.

I’m so happy that you will be upgrading to the iPhone 14. We are expecting a total re-design so it will be a well worthy upgrade. It will be a supercycle and Apple will finally get rid of the notch. Expect a total re-design. Also, there was a report out Apple engineers decided to shift their focus on iPhone 14 more.

Ahh, glad you figured out my name. Haha, I think the capitalization of the letters helped. I was just in San Francisco (SFO, California) 2 weeks ago. First time ever. It was so expensive but worth every single penny. I really fell in love with the city. There was always something to do. Love the people, food, culture, and the whole energy. It was on another level. I have never felt so connected. I came back very inspired. I do plan on going back to the bay in the spring of 2022 for a 2nd trip. I will explore more.

Also, with the new MacBook Pro, I plan on applying for a new job there. Hoping I land something there. It gets very boring in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Don’t forget to check out my post. I posted pictures on this thread below :)
