Don’t give up hope.
It’s a great machine, feels like I’ve got a big screen tv right next to me lol, watching videos on it is amazing.

Thought I’d be more happy 🤔 maybe because I upgraded from such a awesome little beast, I already knew what to expect with this one, the extra screen real estate alone is worth the upgrade. 👌

Don’t get hyped up for ProMotion, it’s not noticeable for some reason on these machines 🤦‍♂️Still a nice upgrade though.

I'm going from a Late 2013 MBP- It's really noticeable for me. The scrolling during setup for Region- was soo smooth- I took my time until I got to the USA.

Edit- pictures coming once I've fully migrated. I'm keeping this old one on Mojave for mainly Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic and just as a general backup.

I accidentally ordered space gray rather then silver in the rush to preorder as soon as possible if my local Apple Store has stock for pick up today would they be able to change it for the silver one? I normally wouldn’t complain but it is over $2400 what do y’all think?

Go for it. Get what you really want, don't settle for less.

I really hope you're right. But my hope in delivery this week is now fading at a rapid pace. UPS has a mess on their hands in Shanghai apparently. Keep in mind, there is no Departed from Facility scan still. So we're just sitting in Shanghai.

I hope it does get delivered this week. I can't guess if UPS is waiting to use their regular flights to fly our orders to Incheon or Narita. I'd say we should keep our faith if we see departure scan from Shanghai as late as tomorrow, 27th on our end. Then the rest is quite fast if I recall how fast iPad flew from Incheon.

So, do I cancel my order and pray that it reflects instantly on my apple card like it has done for some others (but apple says it will take 3-5 business days) or do I leave my 2-9 delivery order?

Also, after speaking with the 7th person at apple, they changed my delivery address to my billing address when I never said anything about changing the address. After calling back again, someone said that it wasn’t changed. The email from apple would say otherwise. Called back AGAIN to be told the “destination” had been changed but not the shipping address. I’m gonna have a stroke.

After all of this bother, you may want to wait until your original order arrives. 🥺

I put on some Rick Astley and the sound on this thing is better than my desktop speakers. Everything on this system is buttery smooth. I also installed EasyRes to try it out at native resolution, and everything is tiny. Superlatives abound for these things.

It's also really nice to load up a bunch of programs and see 0 Swap.

Looks like UPS is having backups in Shanghai… delivery was set for Nov 1 but looks like it’ll be here later now.

FedEx is delayed as well. Has to be with customs.

Nice! got a FEDEX shipping notice and ETA of 11/1 for my BTO MBP 14 Max. Initial ETA was 11/5-11/10. Also see the Apple Card transaction cleared and I got the full 3% cash back.

Whew!!! I checked the delivery map and noticed the UPS truck was about 5 miles away and wasn't making much progress with his route, so I went out in the back yard to pick up from the storm that went through here yesterday. 10 minutes later, I heard a truck engine and a door close, then I heard my doorbell ring. Ran like a bat out of $#&$ and made it in time to the front door for signature and receipt!!! My 16" MBP has been safely delivered!

Is the UPS My Choice feature "follow my delivery" working for anyone today? Usually I can sign in to ups.com and see where the driver with my package is on a map. But for my new MBP today, the only details I can find is "out for delivery."
