Glad I went down to pick up the iPhone this morning.... at least I'll have one new Apple product to set up.

Was just notified by UPS that my MBP was damaged in shipment and returned to their warehouse. No delivery. Now I have to work with Apple to get a replacement shipped out..... estimated to be delivered by mid-December.

Congratulations! Big day for you. Congratulations on the iPhone and Mac! 2 beautiful beast at the same time!!! Can’t wait till you use that camera and put it on use!

I keep watching all these YouTube reviews and they keep saying how heavy the 16" is. I am wondering if I should have gone with the 14" vs 16". ?

Stop watching the YouTube reviews ?. Seriously though, I do not find it heavy at all. I like that it has a substantial weight to it. I too was originally leery of the weight, but I will have no problems with throwing it into my backpack or relocating around the house if I need portability.

Does anyone know if there has been a change in apple’s trade in policy regarding chargers? Because when I was getting the quote this time there wasn’t any question asking me if I’m gonna include the charger or not. If I don’t have to, I def want to keep my 96W brick.

You just turn in the computer and keep the cord/charger.

I’m still in the process of seating mine up so I can’t give feedback yet, but if you can, get to an Apple store to view in person. I think that is the only way you can definitively make an informed decision.

It made it all the way from Shanghai to the PNW US, then the local UPS carriers got their hands on it. Sigh.

So this is telling me that the model I want (14" 10/14/16, 16GB, 2TB) would be a BTO, correct? It's okay if it is, as I'm just waiting for the first glut of Macs to get out before ordering.

Will do. Question though… did you setup as new or did you migrate or setup from a backup. I thought about setting up as new, but I want all of my settings to carry over.
