What size screen MacBook Pro (2021) did you order?

Make sure you’re logged into the apple store website before it goes down on Monday. 😁

Make sure it remembers your password, so you don’t have to sign in again once the store is back up. 🥳🎉
I don’t know how I’m going to do that. I’m going to be at work. 😂 I’m gonna try using my work computer to order it otherwise I’m using an App. I really hope Apple doesn’t open the orders right away.

Sign into the apple store via safari on your phone. 😁👌

Same. I'm going to be borderline frantic if they do - I'd much rather see the computers and have a few days to deliberate on the specs that I want. I don't know the screen size, SSD size, RAM size or # of GPU cores I want yet. Lol.

I'm going to wait a bit for reviews. One thing I don't like about my 2020 Intel MBA is that the webcam is awful in low light.

I don't care that the new MBP's are going to HD (hello 2010!) but I find mine hard to use for video conferencing unless I'm in a well-lit place.

Never purchased a apple product straight after a event, if they do go up for preorder straight after the apple event, does it happen as soon as the event it over? Or do we wait a hour or two for the store to come back up?

Back when they launched my MBA, it was during the WWDC. They launched both Lion and the mid-2011 MBA right then and there. And if I remember right, it wasn't simply preorders; you could order them that day and ahve them shipped, or walk into the Apple store and walk out with a new MBA.

That's changed multiple times over the past 10 years so it could go either way.

BL.

I hope we find out over the weekend when we can place our orders in. It will save us with a lot of worrying and headaches.

This is not a good news! Omg panic attack [ON]
The laptops usually do not sell fast enough to warrant a panic attack, although they will probably sell out of launch inventory eventually. About time I got rid of this 13" Pro 2019 that gets hot idling with a 4k screen.

True.

I had no trouble walking into a apple store and grabbing a M1 MacBook Pro last year.

Should be interesting to see what happens this year. 🤔

There's definitely more pent up anticipation for these, but they're also in a higher price class vs. the consumer M1 machines. Apple has had two+ months of mass production supposedly, so hopefully there's ample launch stock. I just want five minutes to be able to throw a couple of orders in without launch day shipment slipping.

I’m lucky to be working from home. I’ve blocked off time on my work calendar for an hour and a half so no one will be bothering me with meetings or phone calls. I’ll watch the event and get my order in asap.

My early 2011 MBP has been basically unusable for the past year or two. I’m glad I waited for the M1X to get a new one. I’ve waited this long, so I can still wait a little longer if that’s what happens. I’m ready.

It’s just the chip shortage is what’s scaring me. Apple doesn’t have a lot of control over that. So I’m not sure how the supply is going to look like? Is it going to get delayed till January? It’s unknown.
