This, although I have the MBP with 16GB of RAM. This machine is amazing, my only gripe is only 2 USBc ports - on the wrong side for me lol. I also really need a bigger screen and my aging eyes are aging.
Yeah if you're gonna give us just 2 USB-C ports, place them on opposite sides to make charging/accessories more convenient.

Whatever pricing they choose hopefully the CAD pricing is more favourable to the current exchange rates than the current prices

If these are available in store later today by some fluke chance, I'll be grabbing the base 14" ASAP. Even if it has that ridiculous notch. There is always the return period if I don't fall in love with it anyway.

Ready to downsize from the 16" I have. I have a custom built PC for my heavier tasks with a 5900x and a 3080, so this Macbook will be purely for mobile work now that I'm finally starting to get out and about more with work again.

Yeah, the whole notch thing is way beyond me. Ugly - d'oh, look at almost any Windows machine and you'll see what is really ugly. Buggy - I don't believe it for a second. Why would that be? When an app goes to full screen, turn on black bar mode and nobody notices it. If it isn't a permanent solution, it's at least a very simple temporary one.

No, because then none of the adapters using those two ports work anymore. I find them really handy!

Hopefully USB C charging is still an option.

We were at $0.75 for a while when the old systems were priced and now it is settling over $0.80.

Is the old adage, “If you have to ask if you need more RAM, you don’t” still true?

Also, I’ve never bought an MBP on release day. How quickly are we expecting the shipping dates to slip on the 16-inch? Within the first five minutes? Thanks.

I would assume so for RAM. We have no idea if they will be available right after, later in the week, or if it will be pre-orders, if you are getting a bto with more ram or whatever else then it will probably take longer than a base model.

eBay will likely net you around the same as trading in via Apple after fees (~13% give or take) but you can compare pretty easily (search sold listings on eBay). Don't sell on eBay if you can't afford to lose the money if someone is dedicated to scamming you.

Look at local listings for ideas of what you can sell for it locally and preferably sell to someone for cold hard cash. Personally, I dislike selling expensive stuff locally as you have to sift through a lot of crap so trading in is much more appealing.

You can look at recently sold items on Ebay with comparable specs and condition, just take 13% off of that price to see how much you are making.
