6 days so far and counting in ZhengZhou, China and back to a constant "check back tomorrow for an updated delivery date" which hasn't actually updated in several days now.
Apple support was cheerful and said I'd have it by the promised date, that date was (IIRC, might not) the 9th originally, then the 3rd (e.g., tomorrow), and now back to the 9th. Do they have other tools they can query? Don't know.
Now, I've ordered plenty of launch day items from Apple and I know the updates from UPS/FedEx can be screwed up, backlogged or whatever, and usually the device makes it as promised. But this time has a different feel to it, and it's a much higher value item.
