That makes sense. I guess I'm just wondering if anyone else ordered a 16" Max base model on 10/18 with estimated arrival of 11/2 - 11/9 and still hasn't seen any movement. Am I the only one?

I contacted Apple support tonight via chat about why UPS has said my laptop would arrive tomorrow but it’s still indicating that it’s in China. It was a waste of time. Chat requests are obviously going to some outsource and they kept asking for everything but my blood type and SSN, even though I was on an AppleID device and had the order number. Can’t tell if the customer support in the old days was unsustainable or these reps were awful. Oh well…
I feel like it just made my decision that much more difficult 😕
Give it time, you just got the other one, I was a bit overwhelmed at the start with the bigger size and display, now I'm use to the extra weight and bigger screen.
Screen looks small to me now.

Well, I've changed my order again. After deciding on the M1 Pro with 32GB of RAM and the 16 core GPU, I decided to just upgrade to the cheapest M1 Max. This gives me the RAM I want (32GB) and the 24 core GPU for about $240 more. I also get the extra external display that the M1 Max provides. I'm not happy how much I spent on this, but I'm happy with my final configuration at last.
My first order had a delivery date still in November, now my delivery date is between the 7th and 15th December. Five more weeks with my 2015 MacBook Air with 4GB of RAM!

Edit - I got it to work...my virus scan was doing something to the file and leaving it stuck in dark mode. It is virus free from what my scans tell me...so I redownloaded it. Then used finder to put it in my Desktop Pictures folder.@julit0 Hi, I downloaded the wallpaper but How do I set it up as Dynamic Wallpaper? It downloaded like 5 different photos. Sorry, don't judge. I know it's a nooby question
This worked perfectly right here:
Once it's in your desktop pictures - from the finder window, right click on the image and "Set Desktop Picture". Should be good!
