Thank you, I’ll give it a shot if not I guess I’m stuck with whatever Apple is offering. It would have been so much easier if Apple had offered in from the beginning. Now it’s all complicated, ha!

Ugh! Hopefully there is not a long delay. But the good thing is you got an import scan. It’s just waiting to get on the last flight. Do u know when is it expected to depart? Hopefully your 💻 catches the flight

Well, my October 26 original delivery date base model finally arrived last night at 630PM (That's November 2nd).
What a cluster. I was in my office which overlooks the street and I saw a Uhaul rental van pull up and put 4 way blinkers on. I'm on a dead end street so thought that was odd. Then watched a guy get out in the rainy dark and start looking at addresses on my street and under his arm was a MacBook sized package.
Sure enough, went out there and he came to the door. Chatted with the guy and it turns out UPS is so overwhelmed in my area that they don't have enough trucks on the road and have resorted to renting 20 Uhaul vans to make deliveries. I wonder if my package really was "sorted incorrectly" and not just "delayed due to budget cuts" or some sort.
Either way my Macbook is here and it's awesome. What a journey getting it though. If I remember in 10 years when I get a new one, I'll do in store pickup instead.
That’s the processor/RAM config I went with as well. Hope yours comes sooner than expected!!
Hmm it actually shows as having arrived in Portland now so it wasn’t a super long flight delay 😂. Though it still says “Check back tomorrow for an updated delivery date” 🤔.
I’m actually kind of surprised these last minute delays don’t happen more often considering how last minute they send them out from Louisville!
Woo hoo! I have a feeling you’ll get it today. It’s still early so UPS will process it and update the system within 1-2 hours.
This is not good, because iPhone always use "UPS Worldwide Express Saver" and never got such delays! Usually within 3 days if reach the destination. Something is wrong/delays going with UPS even after mechanical failure couple of weeks ago.
Same here. I've been stuck in Zheng Zhou since 10/28. Maybe I should move there.
It says on vehicle for delivery! It might make it just in time!

At least you got an update. My last update was 11/1. I really think mine is lost or stolen.
As somebody who works at a non-apple consumer electronics company: the entire shipping process from China to the US is extremely broken right now. Many companies are trying to abandon ocean freight, especially into the US, given the backups at the port of LA, and as a result air shipping is extremely overloaded. I'm not surprised that this is happening, but disappointed, would have loved for my laptop to arrive sooner.

The delivery date is scheduled for tomorrow but there’s no chance of it happening.
Buy the Mac Pro wheels and get an adapter. Perfection!
UPS claims it's still coming today, but either it missed a scan or it's stuck in Alaska.
