This 16" Max purchase was more stressful than buying an xbox series x haha. Ordered within 10 minutes of the keynote, battled overloaded servers, etc. Just noticed today that apple pushed my delivery window back a week, was originally Nov 3-10. Now 10-17. However, it's moved from processing to "preparing to ship" though.

Glad to hear other users seem to be getting their December orders significantly earlier, can't help but be beyond jealous and frustrated, haha.

I’m surprised you didn’t order the M1 Pro Mac. That must be very hard for you to say NO! Not being able to resist and pull the trigger to order one.
Believe me, it's been super difficult to hold off on a new MBP with all of the excellent excitement and unboxings going on. I'm learning a bit every day following along with everyone here and having some good laughs. The positivity/encouragement is the best. My 13" RMBP is still running ok on Big Sur and my 16" Intel MBP (still got my touch bar! and physical ESC) is spec'd out to last another 5-6 years...and with no 120Hz Safari and that notch, I'm not missing much (j/k).

My buddy that works at Apple, he even asked me "What is it that you'll need that your current MBP doesn't give you?" So, yeah, I've held off. Been compensating with getting Polishing Cloths, and an Apple Leather Sleeve (made for my 2019 MBP) that delivered today (pics when I get home from work!)...

That said, my wife's 2015 MBA is starting to show it's limits and the battery is behaving much like your 15" MBP was. So by Christmas, she may very well have a 14" MBP (M1 Pro/10/10/16GB/1TB). I guess that may bring me full circle...ha ha. Sorry for the long read.

I'm sorry that you got pushed back. Apple seriously overcommitted themselves with this launch. ☹️ This whole process has been screwy.

For anyone who ordered in the last few days..since this is my first time ordering anything from apple's site when it says

14-inch MacBook Pro Arrives Nov 24 - Dec 2

When is it most likely to ship? Right now it still says processing order

I see that a lot when I don't type the full ZIP+4 or sometimes if the abbreviations for a street or whatnot can be "improved". If the address still looks correct, carry on...

When I placed my order..I asked the lady via chat if it makes a difference if my account says my address as "Rd" even though its "Road" she said it does not matter, I hope not I Mean honestly if they cant tell the difference between Rd and Road they got issues LOL I get letters that sometimes say Rd and some of them say Road

...still same info as before, in ZZ since last Friday. Last update of any kind was figuring out a new date on Nov 1. Le sigh.

Plenty of stock available here for store pickup, don’t blame people for not buying them over here.

14” base model starts at $2,999 then the beast, let’s not even go there. 🤦‍♂️

@Boardiesboi where did you get $600 from?🤔😂

Looking a little more appealing now, just. 🤦‍♂️🥺👇

I’m two hours ahead of schedule now on the restore from time machine!

I often have multiple machines due to clients having me work on theirs. When that happens, I have a second stand that I put on the left side of the screen, then just move the FireWire cable between them. The keyboard is plugged into the display and I put a Bluetooth dongle on the keyboard so the mouse follows it as well. Works great!
FireWire cable, now that’s a term you don’t hear everyday.

My 2019 MBP 16" was running great. Platform shift to Apple Silicon will drive resale value right over the cliff. No-one wants to buy it now. Apple's generous trade-in value is currently a decent alternative. Running all the value out for another 5-6 years just didn't seem worth it to me. Just seems now's the time for me.

depends on what you are expecting in resale value. i sold my 2019 mbp 16, 32gb ram 1 tb hd for $1800. I paid $2750 in jan of 2020, so almost two years of use, and i sold it for almost 70% of what i paid for it, i got my value out of it for sure. try that for a windows machine you cant give those things away! I put my mbp up on facebook market place and it sold in less than 12 hours.

So, my order finally turned to "Preparing to ship". Being in US, how long should I expect to wait before it turns too "Shipped"?

I’m super duper excited!! My 14 inch 1TB stock version is in at Simply Mac. I will be going to pick it up shortly!!
I want to give a shout out to SIMPLY MAC. They sometimes get bad reviews but my experience buying my new MBPM1Pro was smooth and fast. I ordered in the store on 10/24 because that weekend they were offering $150 off plus educational discount of $150. I needed the $300 lower price than the $2499 which gave me a price of $2199. In addition, I traded in my current MBP and they quoted me $100 more than Apple website. I can't say that they will do this for everyone because my trade-in is in pristine like-new condition and still is under original warranty plus has extended AppleCare+. I used that extra $100 toward AppleCare+ for my new MBP. On 11/3 they still had not received indication that my order was on its way to the store. Therefore, the manager, knowing I was without a computer since I had given mine to them as a trade-in, contacted other stores to see if one of them had what I ordered available. He found one and had it overnighted to his store. I picked it up today 11/4. This is my second time buying a computer from them and each time I've received outstanding customer service. My advice to anyone buying from them is this: Get to know the manager and the associates and they will help you.
