What size screen MacBook Pro (2021) did you order?

Guys it is here! About a month before original shipping date, and two weeks before adjusted date. I have to go to a rehearsal right now and can't unbox it yet!

Big double rainbow came out when I stepped outside to get it. Made up for the fact that the UPS guy just left it on the front step.... :|

I bought my 2019 right before M1 Air was released. Kind of felt like there would always be some Intel holdouts. But then realized Apple was already letting go of software updates for Intel. New processors cinched if for me.

That's a great price for your buyer. It was worth probably $2,200. I had the same spec with 64GB RAM and 2019 and it fetched $2,495 a on new machine release day.

Yup, I’ll wear it down this weekend to get it below 30% and then test it out. I won’t be able to unplug until after work tomorrow.

If I get the same results as @LFC2020 and @SloRide, then the 💻 is operating as it should.

None of that funny business—OCD/anxiety from either of you until I get the results in.

I haven’t used it at all today. Been typing on a Lenovo ThinkPad all day 😌

Ahh! Beautiful weather. Such a nice scene. Don’t you just love fall 🍁 glad your Mac has arrived. Can’t wait till you post pictures of your Mac 🍎

OMG, I've surviving on a Lenovo 14" running Ubuntu for the last two weeks. No way I was going to wait until today to list my maxed out 2019 16"!! Couldn't type accurately to save my life.

Yes, Apple already diminished Intel software updates, less support coming fast on its heels. I agree, it was time to jump. Earlier than I planned, but I'm happy now it's settled. My 2019 ramped up to leaf blower level while I was doing the data transfer. It's been unnaturally quiet since I've traded it in. Have to decide what to do with the eGPU.

The challenge next cycle will be withstanding the siren calls of this forum.

I do container development and deployment, so I'm wondering how it's going to go for Intel deployments. I think I'll be happy with this 14" for quite some time. But if there's an upgrade that I can justify for the business with sound reasoning, there's no reason to feel stuck. I just look at it as dollars/day and how it compares to the price of the latte I usually have with my coding. Seems like Starbucks gets more of my money overall than Apple does...
 
You know, I don't think I'm ever going to use the MagSafe on this machine. I never carry Apple power supplies with me to cafes (ewww, dirty!) and that's where I need MagSafe the most. And the Apple supplies are the only one that have a USB-C female on them. So I guess I can put the pristine box in storage now, with all the fiddly bits ready for the next owner in a bunch of years.

It doesn't feel like the eBay price for 64GB MBPs have gone down that much though. There aren't a lot of them selling though, so maybe it's just people that didn't get the memo there is a new machine? Can't figure it out.
