So far, my battery hasn’t gotten below 50%, so I’ve not experienced that problem.

After 2 days with my BTO 16 M1Max 2TB and having transferred all my important files (didn't use Migration Assistant to avoid transferring unnecessary stuff), I am absolutely in love with this laptop ?
Most of this has been said before, but the screen, trackpad, speakers, battery and speed are just phenomenal!!
I know I over specced for my particular needs, but don't regret it one bit, and the space grey is gorgeous.
Only hiccup so far has been with iMovie, where loading projects from my transferred library is surprisingly causing frequent beachballs until it fully loads... maybe a corrupt library or indexing still going on?
Anyway, for those still waiting for theirs, it's well worth the wait! And now to give my wallet a rest, I've spent way to much money on Apple gear this year ?

2021 MBP, 2012 MBPR (handed down to my partner and 11 yo) and on the far right where it all began for me: 2007 White MacBook (with easily upgraded RAM and SSD, which my 8 yo still uses for her simple IT needs) ?

Curious to know, since you did a clean install on it, rather than via migration assistant, like I did . Is your time Machine functioning perfectly? Did you set up an existing Time Machine drive that your new Mac inherited or reformatted and started a new one?

I like it as well, as I've been looking at silver for the past 10.5 years. Space Gray will be a welcome change. Besides, immediately when it comes in, I'm throwing the dbrand Matte Black skin on it: Top, Bottom, Trackpad, Palm rest area, the entire lot.

And it's okay if you don't like space gray, @theliellama. You can be completely happy with silver; I tend to see this as my nor anyone else's choices not being pigeonholed into what you like, what you think everyone else should like, or that your opinion is the only one that matters.

Besides.. you would have hated Apple 40 years ago; Tan was the only color you had, and if you didn't like it, you'd have to hobble back to your old Speak'n'Spell.

I still have my 13" early 2008 white plastic MacBook tucked away safe in a padded case in my closet. I took her out just now to take some photos...plugged her in and she booted right up, running Mac OS X v10.6.8, with 1 whole GB of memory. She's got no battery left, but runs like a charm plugged in. She's in pristine condition and there's something so nostalgic about opening the cover and hearing the classic startup tone and then something (?) spinning up to life inside.
