People are saying it starts happening at 80%
Happened to me at 70% yesterday.
Stupid thing won’t charge if it’s turned off and the lid is closed ? ding, ding, ding lol. ?
Haven’t heard of anyone having this issue with the 14” model.
Question is can you go back to the 14” model? ???
Anyone else experience this ? It's been like this for over a week. When it first shipped, it looked like it was coming early (the 2nd). Then it went to this! I am in the November 9 slot originally.
So after the movement I had yesterday I for sure thought my MacBook would be leaving Incheon on one of the planes last night but it doesn’t appear that way. No movement. I just hope it doesn’t sit in South Korea forever now…

Make that two months before delivery of our Macs through USPS and you’d be spot on.
You do know that unless you are traveling with the laptop, you don’t have to shut down the computer? Just put it to sleep and close the lid. If not traveling,
I never shut my Mac down and it’s only ever restarted if required for a software update. In the past 10 years or so, I’ve never had any issues with not shutting down.
just ordered an M1 Pro 14" 16 core GPU / 2TB SSD / 32GB. 4-5 week til ship, Dec 17-24 delivery estimate. bummer !

It is always possible that you might see an early or on-time arrival, but I wouldn’t count on it. Some have stated that their ship times have actually been pushed back.
I know, I’m use to always shutting it down, when not using it, habit 🤦♂️
I’m hoping it’s a software issue, can’t be bothered doing the whole return process again.
Apple stores here still aren’t accepting returns in store, courier pickup or mail in. 🙄

No. i ordered mine shortly after the store went live. It was assembled faster than I thought, but then it sat in China for 10 days. Estimated delivery was Nov. 5-10. It’s now moved to Korea with no estimate of when it will arrive. Maybe by Nov. 10… maybe not. I wouldn’t count on seeing it sooner than expected.
Again who has the estimated delivery date of November 18 to November 26- and has anyone order shipped yet?
The original estimate was Nov 17-26, now Nov 11 for a 16" Max 64GB/2TB. Started shipping on Nov 2nd and now just sitting in Shanghai for the past 4 days...
I haven’t been using my Mac alot lately maybe 2-3 hours per night.
I don’t ever shut down my 💻 always puts it on sleep mode. Maybe your Mac doesn’t want you shutting it down, LOL! I also prefer shutting it down once a month or something.

Heads up, for those looking for the standard config 16 inch max model 32gb / 1tb, Microcenter seems to have a few in stock at each store this morning. For example, the closest store to me in the NYC metro area has 2 silvers where as every apple store is out of stock.

My card was charged 10/26. My Pro is in Incheon, KR. It was in China for a week. My trade in is due Friday. Apple and I will have a nice talk on Monday if my Pro is still on the way.
