What size screen MacBook Pro (2021) did you order?

I tried that with my watch that I missed delivery on. They charged me 7.99 to pick it up at the hub and I couldn’t get it until the following day.
Did you have it transferred to a different UPS CC center around the city or was it the main location? Also, normally they don’t charge you if you have MYCHOICE account.
 
No idea what happened to my order. The arrives by window has been Nov. 6-19 since the beginning as I placed the order 15 minutes after the Keynote. There are three 16" MBP on this order. A 16" Max/64/2TB shipped a couple of days ago, and last night I got an email about the other two 16" Max/64/1TB.

"Due to an unexpected delay.... will now ship on or before Dec 22, 2021"
I checked the order status and now the delivery window is now arrived Dec. 24-Dec. 31!

Anybody else have issues with the 16" Max/64/1TB model and getting pushed back?

That is the exact configuration I ordered on 10/20 & it is still "processing". If I were you I would call Apple immediately.

I just messaged Michelle Love on LinkedIn. She is the new product introduction manager with World Wide Logistics at Apple.

I copied her on the email I sent to Tim Cook on November 7th.

Someone in Apple's upper management will eventually respond.

One thing about me is persistence - I keep going till I find the answer.
 
wasn't sure which one causes the charging issue I've read about through this thread.
MagSafe charging has intermittent and non widespread issues with charging - most likely to be addressed with a software update for the 16" MBP. You will be fine!

The charging issue happens when your battery is below a certain percentage and you completely shut down the MBP, close the lid and then connect the MagSafe. @LFC2020 ran into this issue where the indicator light on the MagSafe would continuously blink amber with a chime sound. Both would go away when the lid was lifted.
 
so what are people's views on the standout comments from reviewers for these new MacBooks?!

nearly every review I read or watch keeps saying the experience is "buttery smooth" 😂

it would make the MacBooks a hell of a lot more slippery!
This is why I bought a skin from dBrand. 😂 The skin will give the surface a little more textures--grippier.

Seriously though, I am impressed so far with the operation of my new 16" MacBook but my work processes are not very complex.

Both would go away when the lid was lifted.
Ok took it to 2%. Shut it down, closed lid, and plugged in MagSafe. Chiming and blinking every 6 seconds.
*just opened the lid then shutdown again. Closed the lid and now no blinking or chiming. 🤷🏼

I've asked this before but it probably got lost with the delightful conversation here :) But what are the scaled resolution options on the new 16-inch MacBook Pro?

Yeah, there's no rhyme or reason with that phenomena and it is not widespread I don't believe. I haven't had time to drain my battery to test, but it's hoped that the problem(?) is a software issue and not hardware.

As I explained to @LFC2020, unless you are traveling, it really isn't necessary to completely shut down the MBP--just put it to sleep.

Apple canceled my order yesterday and I had to create a new one, is there a chance it will arrive before December 7? Will I be dreaming?

There is always a chance; however, I'm seeing that orders are being pushed back from the original ship date. Fingers crossed that your order arrives within the stated ship dates or before.
