What size screen MacBook Pro (2021) did you order?

Tried using Veterans and Military Purchase Program through ID.ME - but it never applied the 10% discount.
Contacted Apple support and spoke to two specialists who could not help. My plan was to use the 10% discount then use AppleCard to get 3% cash back on purchase.

Needless to say delivery time has now slipped well into mid to late November.

Needless to say I decided NOT to order and will wait for the updated Mac Mini or Mac Pro as I will probably use more in a desktop environment doing editing. Initially I could have placed my order and gotten it Oct 12-Oct 18th!

Just my luck with Apple.

Edit - heard back from ID.ME who said:

"It sounds like the item you are trying to purchase is not eligible for a discount."

What a waste of time, I won't use that discount Apple program ever again.
ID.ME has it all wrong. I used the Veterans and Military Purchase Program through them and it took awhile, but the 10% discount came through.

Got the base model ordered for launch day delivery through the edu store eventually after everything ground to a halt and I waffled about the 14 vs 16”. Was the app any faster for ordering? I couldn’t use it because I needed the education discount. I’m hoping I like the huge size, otherwise I will have to exchange at the Apple Store if they have any in stock.

Yes, I did what everyone here is doing if you order something and aren’t 100% satisfied… stalk the apple website…

I was able to cancel my original order for the 14inch basic MacBook Pro… and now I’ll get the same MacBook as before but with the better 96W charger… and for the small up charge of 20€ I’ll now get it one week earlier (estimated Nov 3rd-8th) and hopefully just in time for my online course starting Nov 8th… (well, and I can fast charge it…might be useful too)

now I am happy!
Can’t wait to read all of your shipping notifications and get fully hyped!

Slightly off-topic, but if one buys an MBP and an iPad, each of which currently come with a free year of Apple TV, does it stack to a total of two years, or is that wishful thinking? Thanks.

No and at this point in Apple TV+ history, it’s only three Months free that one gets one time.

Can't stack. The Apple TV+ offer only applies as a new customer too (you can't have been a previous Apple TV+ subscriber / utilized a past offer). Only way you'd be able to is if you use a different Apple ID for it (which to me wouldn't be worth the hassle).

The promos should stack, I have the PS5 six months and iPhone 13 three month currently unless that was a special case.

I only want to cancel one. Not sure why cancel item is not showing up for the expensive Mac. Weird
How weird. I ordered the MBP 14" inch BASE model but didn't realize I didn't have my payment method updated (ok, truthfully I didn't think that they were going to go on PREORDER today so I forgot to make sure I had everything good to go).

I processed the order in fear of losing the 10/26 delivery window... luckily the base 14" is still delivering 10/26 and I was able to process a 2nd order with the correct payment method. Had to CALL Apple to cancel the first one and then suddenly my 2nd order DID have a cancel link. It seems like there was just a lag on getting the option to cancel.

@TheYayAreaLiving - I haven't read this whole thread but WHY did you need to cancel one of them?

@LFC2020 are you SERIOUSLY NOT ORDERING ONE??
I may, MAY have to sell the M1 iPad if I fall head over heels with the MBP. It's far too much machine for me but I want to see how I feel about it when it arrives. May have to request to work from home next Tuesday, LOL.

I've decided that if I do fall in love with the new MBP I will cancel my Apple Watch order (as long as it hasn't shipped by then - my delivery date isn't until Nov 24th so I have PLENTLY OF TIME) as to offset the extra spending. Then I will look into selling the M1 iPad if this MBP is all that I was longing for!

Wish me luck!

Really don't know what to order. I do all my photo/video stuff on my 27" iMac. A base 14" would do what I need but I have a hard time not getting the 10core CPU and 16core GPU upgrade then if I am getting that, might as well 32gb on the RAM. I don't need those things but I keep my MBP for 4-5yrs so buy once cry once if thats the case might as well +400 and get the Max processor upgrade aaaand we are at $3299.

Side note, anyone elses work EPP not offering a discount on these machines?

Yes. Much faster than the site.
I always order on the app but I needed the $200 education savings and to apply an Apple account balance. The website was such a mess. Thankfully still got launch day - I traded in my ancient Macbook Air last week and I’m in school so need the new one asap.

I'm crying hard at $5230 of shiny penny tears. Only way is to MAX it.

Welcome! It's great to see you here. We missed you during iPhone 13 Pre-Order launch. Rest assure, please were asking about you.

I had to cancel one of the order because I ordered two Macbook Pro's. One Macbook Pro M1 Pro and 1 MacBook Pro M1 Max. I panicked and blacked out so I was trying to order as many Mac's as I could to obtain a launch delivery date. All is well now. Rough morning today!

I was also unsure If I wanted the Pro Model or Pro Max model.
