@beach bum you should upgrade too. The 💻 can support several external monitors 🤫 who knows when Apple will release the Mac mini. It ain’t going to be this year.

LOL!!! 🤣 As of right now, my wallet and my big eyes don’t match. 💵💰🥺. I’ll re-assess if Apple doesn’t release the new MM by year-end… I can always use the MBP in clam-mode, but seriously, I need to put a little more money into my account before I think about pulling the trigger. 😳😁
I may be in the minority, but I think the notch is a great and elegant design approach for locating the camera at the top while maintaining a narrow bezel. The menu bar shares that space, and when in full screen mode the notch is above the viewable area so it doesn’t come into play. For example, my XPS 13 completely botched the camera placement at the bottom of the screen so it looks up your nose when using it, then when Dell released the new model they relocated it to the top and increased the size of the bezel. A lose-lose design. Other manufactures have done about as poorly. But beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder. I get that. That’s why my rigs are all 4x4s. Coming from farm life, cars just don’t do it for me.

Means you have good taste! The improved XPS 9300 camera I have is on top, but it's so grainy it looks like I'm in a hostage video.
Apparently that's because they compromised on thinner bezels vs a well-functioning camera.
@LFC2020 still think the keyboard looks cheap? The keyboard looks so elegant and it has that matte black texture. All black design. It looks so premium.

Comparison of my old MacBook Pro and new. Placed my order 3 minutes after pre-orders went life, I was fumbling with different variations, there were tons of them. Finally settled on this. Oct 26th estimate, hopefully I get it sooner like I did my iPhone 12. Can't wait!!

I don't think it looks cheap per se. Everyone knows Apple products aren't cheap. BUT, they do look odd. Almost like they stuck a keyboard in the laptop, meaning it is less integrated looking.
Having no metal space gray between keys makes it look that way IMO.
