So, can’t order mine yet. It’ll have to be either when I get an internship or when I graduate, whichever happens first. I still have 2 semesters worth of classes left, bleh.

Guess what folks! I just checked my email I got an email from Apple. The rep who was helping me had the pull. He wasn’t brushing me off. They change the shipping method to 2-3 business days. Still showing express delivery. The date also didn’t change. It just shows it will deliver within 2-3 business days.

The question is if I will my receive my origin scan a little earlier. Will the order be expedited and land into American soil a little earlier? Or am I expected to travel with all of you.🤔

I suspect there won’t be any upgrades to the MacBook Pro in 2022, similar to the MacBook Air this year. Apple still needs to release the Mac Pro, iMac large display (Pro?), Mac Mini and updates to the Air, all likely in 2022. Just a hunch.

I agree. Next upgrade might be in 2022. Pretty sure Apple will offer in more colors :)

Interesting, I checked mine on the store and it also showed a slightly earlier date, but the zip code was wrong; when I updated the zip code the updated shipping estimate was about 2 weeks behind my current one. I ordered as soon as the store reopened after the event and even saw an Oct 26th date which slipped to early November by the time I switched payment methods.
 
I just realized these new updates makes my current MBP16" a unicorn. 🦄

It's the only MBP that was ever released with this design, getting replaced in the very next iteration. Has this ever happened before?

Its 10 hours since the big bang now. I’m actually surprised that shipping has only dropped to 9-17 of November. It had dropped the 2nd to 9th after 2 hours. This means that the huge blast is done and inflation is setting in. Pretty soon dark matter will be created and the shipping times will suddenly jump to months after all the ones they made from last May until now are depleted.

In my experience with launch day iPhones changing the shipping type from whatever the default it as order time actually means getting your device a day or two later than everyone else simply because the default shipping setup of launch day devices is optimized in a certain way to ensure launch day delivery.

Best case scenario is you gets yours early. The probably scenario is you get yours on release day. Worst case scenario is you get it a couple days later.

Is it possible to change the SSD after pre-order before shipment? Also, why choosing Pro Apps Bundle for Education changes the delivery date?

I’m just going to get it on a release date. October 26th, 2021. Not a day early and not a day late. Apple is pretty good at keeping the promises with shipment dates.
