I really wish Apple could have done this to the existing MacBook Pro 14" and 16" line up. It's that easy and simple.

13 November and still not shipped..... Dates not changed as of today (13 November). Interesting that Apple do not inform you when expected shipping dates change. Amazon manages to do so and Microsoft too. But not Apple. Odd for a customer orientated company. Still we will see if they can still get it to me within their new dates. Not confident.
Just pushed back to 26 to 30 November, in other words another 2 week delay. No warning from Apple.

When did you place the order?
Oct. 19 kind of like around 4:20pm eastern time and I got my email from at at 1:33am with the shipping it says will Arrive Nov. 26, but I hope its arrives early and its kind of a surprised mine is being delivered by Fedex- last time my July 2019 13 inch Intel MacBook pro was delivered by UPS

Ordered my maxed out 16 M1 Max (64/8TB) late on Oct 19. It's been in Preparing To Ship for a few days but shipped with a UPS tracking number. What's interesting is Apple says delivery Nov 29 but UPS says Nov 23 (which seems more reasonable given my recent Pro Display XDR order - Apple overestimated that by a few days as well). I expect Apple's normal "under commit & over perform" approach is influenced by Thanksgiving being between the UPS date and Apple's

Ordered my 16 M1 Max (64/8TB) on Oct 19 as well. Was meant to arrive in Australia Nov16-23. Just got message that new expected delivery date is 6-8wks! WTF!!!!! Same as if I ordered today, but I ordered a month ago. WTF Apple. What deplorable service.

Call Apple on that one and work up the chain.

When I look at my order status page on Apple website it says Arrives Nov. 26, and I have a FedEx tracking number, and they don't post a estimated delivery not yet. I'm just wondering how I can find out what Fedex Plan my laptop is going to be on

Understandably there will be some that miss the Touchbar, but they would have to support and improve this long term when a significant amount of features are duplicated. So now there are two versions of the bar, one without function and media keys, one without, and this is also not a feature that has taken off in popularity for mainstream or power users. From my own experience it was an interesting novelty at first, which became an annoyance when trying to use function and media keys.

I just saw something on the morning news I think some factory's are going to be shut due to the backlog at the ports and stuff- I do not know where- sneakers factory's might be shut down

The same thing just happened to me this morning. I ordered a 16 inch 64GB / 4TB less than two hours after the launch event on Oct. 18 and was originally supposed to get it Nov 10 - 17 but it's been pushed back twice now, same dates as you, Nov 26 - 30.

If you play around with Apple's website, you'll see that any 16" MBP with 64gb RAM has a massive delay compared to any other configuration. Right now they're estimating mid Jan for any new 16" MBP with 64GB RAM. I think RAM selection is more indicative of what's going on.

Edit: this is true for 14" MBPs as well.

Just seems so strange - I think Apple could be using UPS for Express and Fedex for Standard shipping

You would think chip shortages would not effect apple since its there own chip, but you never know on where they get there supplies from to make there own chips
