I doubt it. I got the same message. Just meant Apple was working on the system. When I checked later nothing had changed.
I am preparing to ship now … dates still the same

Just seems so strange - I think Apple could be using UPS for Express and Fedex for Standard shipping

My PD XDR and my 16 MBP were/are both standard free shipping and both are UPS. Apple may be selecting carriers based on destination locale or just to spread the load. I wouldn't sweat the lack of a delivery date too much. My recent experience with Fedex domestically is they are not as quick as UPS to declare a delivery date. Does yours actually show shipped on the order status page or did you discover it via the Fedex Delivery Manager?

My original order delivery estimate from Apple until it moved to shipped early this AM was Nov 18 - 26. It now says delivery Nov 29, but UPS My Choice shows Nov 23, rescheduled from Nov 22.

If you are using the iPhone Fedex app, you should see the service type under Details for the tracking number.

My date has slipped twice now.
Originally Nov 10-17, then last week it changed to Nov 12-19...today it says Nov 26-30

WTF Apple?
Just seems strange that my dates dates have not slipped it looks like mine is going to be here by the end of the estimated delivery which is Nov. 26 when I placed the order it was I arrives Nov. 18 to Nov. 26 I could get it sooner when ever it leaves China - Dose anyone know how to find out what plane there Notebooks are on? if you do please let me know

Ordered my 16 M1 Max (64/8TB) on Oct 19 as well. Was meant to arrive in Australia Nov16-23. Just got message that new expected delivery date is 6-8wks! WTF!!!!! Same as if I ordered today, but I ordered a month ago. WTF Apple. What deplorable service.
Chip shortage is really hitting Apple very hard :(

My MBP16.2 64 and 4TB, ordered on launch day Oct 18
Was slated for Nov 10 - Nov 17
Slipped to Nov 12 - Nov 19 on Nov 10
Slipped to Nov 26 - Nov 30 on Nov 16

Have anyone gotten concessions from Apple when this happened? Free sticker? Call from Cook? Complimentary car wash?

Has anyone else had there Macbook Pro shipped by Fedex and what was the next stop after

SHANGHAI, CN

I know UPS is from China, Seoul, then to ALASKA, then to Kentucky

actually the Seoul stop will be coded as Incheon, SK (airport does serve Seoul). Next stop is Anchorage, AK then the UPS hub at Louisville, KY. In the case of my Pro Display, it got fuzzy after that because all tracking stopped until it arrived at the local UPS station for delivery. I have no idea whether it was flown or trucked to FL from KY

I contacted sales about the delay and it's been submitted to "senior customer support" who will call me in the next 3 business days but I'm not holding my breath ?

Well my 16" M1 Max 32GB 1TB ordered on the 18th for a Nov 9- 16th delivery changed today to Nov 24 - 29 with no heads up. I contacted support yesterday and they said to reach out tomorrow if not delivered but I wonder if they can do anything now with the delivery date updated.

Mine was supposedly shipped out almost a week ago and has not left Shanghai and I had not had any sort of update since November 12th in my tracking. However, just a little bit ago I checked and I have a new scan that says it has cleared import customs. It does not give a location and there is no other indication that it actually moved. Anyone knows what this means? Could it be in the US and it just missed a bunch of scans along the way? UPS is not giving a delivery date (well, they originally said yesterday, the 15th, but that hasn't shown for a number of days now) and Apple is still saying Friday, the 19th, which was the last day of my revised window (originally the 10th-17th).

You would think chip shortages would not effect apple since its there own chip, but you never know on where they get there supplies from to make there own chips
There are a lot of chips in there not made by Apple. We don’t know what the production hold ups are. 64GB configurations have a longer wait, but all other configs seem equal.

Is the Fedex the same stops or different stops

I got 48 hours. LOL
Let us know what the explanation is.
On mine, they tried charging my Apple Card a week ago, that charge was pending over several days and went away yesterday. Then this morning the +14 more days wait.

Misery all around. Hope there is another Mac in the meantime 4U

So for anyone watching ship times, my MBP was shipped Friday, accepted by FedEx on Saturday. Was just released by customs and is now in transit. FedEx delivery estimate updated from Pending to this Friday the 19th.
