I ordered Nov 8; I opted to pay with PayPal because I had some cash sitting in there for months and wanted to apply it towards MBP purchase (my debit card is linked to PayPal).
Yesterday morning ~6:00AM local time, my bank sent me a text asking me to verify whether the authorization for the MBP payment was fraudulent. I had a crazy morning, so wasn't able to retrieve that text until ~9:00AM local time. I immediately responded that it was a legit transaction.
Nothing really happened after that. The transaction sat (and still sits as of a couple minutes ago) in my PayPal account as a pending authorization. My bank shows it as a pending transaction too.
Only difference is that sometime this morning, my order status on Apple's site changed to "preparing to ship." So, at least I have apparent movement. Still shows anticipated arrival of Dec 9-16.
I won't get excited til I get tracking and it shows it is in the U.S.

Im beginning to think I just wont get it..when I chatted with apple yesterday(Honestly Im done with chatting with them will just wait) the lady said that the time frame for when it will arrive between november 24th through dec 2nd is how they do it..so sometime in that time frame I will get a confirmation email saying it shipped but as of today so far nothing, no charge on my card, nothing..and this is just the standard macbook pro 14 inch maybe they dont have enough of the standard config in stock?Out for Delivery today!
Original was Dec 1-8, then got DHL shipment notification on Friday for 29th delivery, didn't think I would get it till after thanksgiving since no movement since Friday, but was loaded on plane yesterday and getting delivered today!

today is the 23rd and still nothing
I would check local stores. They have stock of that periodically.
Losing hope ... everything is the same in my order. On december 7 have work trips... sad...
I would be hopeful. I already had movement on my tracking before I even got the number.
yeah but then I have to go through canceling this order(I used a gift card as well) and going and getting another one..eh all good when it comes it comes..the whole point of me ordering it when I did was to take advantage of the extended holiday returns, in case something was wrong with it I had til Jan 8th..I just hope it comes in the next week
I have a similar situation. Had dec 8-15. then got a shipping email yesterday for the 2nd delivery. Mine is with UPS though but there is no information yet. Hopefully I can get it earlier than the estimate they're giving.
Argh. UPS originally had my delivery at Nov 24, then revised to Nov 23, then an hour ago back up to the 24th! Why would they toy with me like that, getting my hopes up?! Plus, tomorrow I'll be out periodically and I don't like expensive packages sitting on my porch...

Not sure. it states "Express Shipping" on the latest order information I have.
Finally I saw some movement after 5 days!! In UPS my choice it shows expected deliver on 24th which is tomorrow which I doubt it can be delivered as its still in China, God knows how long will it take to deliver, Apple's expected delivery is by 29th Nov which I think will be the case not what UPS says..
I wonder what will be the next stop after ZhengZhou? any idea about it?

I think this is not the case. Apple is shipping 14" base model MBPs in a window of 2-3 weeks (for example, if you order now, it arrives between Dec 8 and Dec 15 in France), which means that they are capable to accelerate old orders and meet at the same time new demands. No worries, it should arrive soon. I heard that someone got their order shipped without being charged. Everything could happentoday is the 23rd and still nothing
