Got it. You're matching what I think is happening. Regardless of ordering on launch day or after, if yours is coming from the US and not China, Apple has been able to get stock of various models sent out to their warehouses so instead of being completely BTO, they have those BTO options in their warehouses so they can be picked from there instead of built at the factory.
If you're in Montreal, if Apple doesn't have a warehouse in Canada (which if they did, I'd assume Canada Post would be handling the delivery), I'm guessing that your Mac should be coming from Carlisle, PA, then shipped up. If that's the case, check for the departure scan on your purchase, then check for the closest airport relative to that departure scan. That should be your flight. If it's an international airport, it will be going straight to Canada.
This one is going to be a bit tricky, because the funny thing about airports and customs is that you don't have to be labeled "International Airport" to be an international airport. Any airport in the US can be an international airport, as long as Customs can make it to the airport and be able to clear any scans of people or cargo.
In the case for Apple's warehouse in Carlisle, the closest airport that can accommodate it with customs available is KMDT - Harrisburg International Airport. If it is coming from Carlisle, that would be the airport to look at.
Again, this all depends on where the warehouse is that has your Mac. Check for that when the departure scan is made, and post where it is. we'll be able to get you to the available airport that has it so you can track it.
As far as cargo goes, all of it goes to CYMX - Montreal-Mirabel. So I'd assume your arrival scan would go there. However in looking at Mirabel's flights, all UPS flights to Mirabel come from KSDF, so your Mac, again assuming it's coming from Carlisle, would fly KMDT-KSDF-CYMX.
Again, this is all departure scan dependent.
