- Estimated delivery via UPS 1: 12/2 and then updated to 12/3 and now is back to 12/2, crazy UPS system

I ordered my 16 inch 10/26, at first the eta was 12/2-12/9. Then after it arrived in Memphis on 11/24, I got an arrival date of 11/26! I got all excited for nothing— it never showed up and since then the status was changed to “Delayed” and “Pending”. The Apple site says 12/2 though so I guess I can always hope. I just thought I would look on here and see what other people’s experience has been.
FWIW, my timeline for a 16" M1 Pro 32GB 1TB
Nov 8 — evening; order placed; Order page initially showed arrival Dec 20-27
Nov 9 — Order page updated arrival to Dec 17-24
Nov 12 — Order page updated arrival to Dec 9-16

Nov 22 — payment (via PayPal, cash in account + linked debit card) showed as being in pre-authorization; showed in my bank as a pending transaction
Nov 23 — order moved to “preparing to ship” status
Nov 25 — 2:00AM local time; shipping notice email from Apple; UPS tracking # was useless, no info in UPS system; PayPal now shows a completed payment (the cash I had in account was applied towards payment, and account balance properly showed as $0.00); bank shows a pending transaction for payment

Thereafter, limbo, and a period of where my bank no longer showed the payment at all, but continued to show in PayPal as complete.
Nov 29 — ~11:30PM local time, finally, UPS tracking worked, showing initial scans; UPS showed arrival Dec 3, Apple order page showed arrival Dec 6….I didn’t believe either one, hahahaha.
Nov 30 — bank finally shows processed payment
Dec 1 — UPS tracking all of a sudden removed Dec 3 arrival date, instead advising “The delivery date will be provided as soon as possible.” Package has been in Shanghai this entire time since tracking first started working on Nov 29. Apple order page continues to show Dec 6 arrival date.

Is this the silver model? What size drive? Mine is scheduled for 12/9-16 but still in processing.
At first, I thought it was weird that after two weeks I still didn't get a charge on my credit card nor did I get any updates on the shipping, and then I saw other people's posts on their orders and I realized,

Mine was also DHL. I didn’t see any updates until it showed up at the Cincinnati hub on the 30th lol. It was delivered yesterday to my friend, I’m sure you will see movement soonWho is the carrier that has your package? Mine is with DHL and I haven’t seen any updates since the 26th. Freaking annoying since it’s almost been six days with no updates
Not even Apple has that kind of control. The reality is supply chain issues have also impacted logistics and transportation industries.
It was shipped on the 26th of November and was in Cincinnati on the 30th

No I wasn't trying to be sarcastic. It's a real question. Some people ordered right when it was released and got theirs right away, so I was just wondering why other's are taking so long to ship.
Well, if you haven't been following the news recently please know that there is a global chip crisis (not enough chips produced resulting in many production delays in many sectors) combined with a shipping crisis. So yes, there are delays everywhere.

I am just curious, is there a difference when ordering from Europe/USA in terms of supply? (as we have two seperate threads) Aren’t we all ordering from the same Apple factory in China eventually when ordering a BTO configuration?

There are two factors at play here. Production problems due to chip shortages is one. But the other factor is the shipping problems world wide. It seems that shipping to Europe runs quite a bit smoother at the moment.
Yes. I am aware. Just curious the how and the what…simple thinking you would think the whole world is lining up in the same queue.
So it is surprising that some people get their product faster than the other. (even with the same specs, and some preorder versus ordering in November baffles me) as the bottleneck now seem to be the RAM anything over 32 is 8 weeks.
