Well, I was finally able to talk to someone helpful at FedEx and they told me that the package will be delivered tomorrow like it was scheduled originally. They won't deliver it early even though it made it here three days early. I will make a quick drive to FedEx to see if I can pick it up myself.
You might need to go to the Fedex warehouse, but if you talk to the local Fedex branch they should be able to give you details.

So, I stopped by the local facility and was able to pick it up. Woohooo! :)

I ordered my 16” M1 Max MacBook Pro on October 26. The expected delivery dates has remained unchanged since the initial order date, December 7 - 14. I am now inside the expected delivery window dates and my order status remains as “Processing”. Has there been any reports of dates being pushed back once the order was within the delivery date range? I am asking because I have a ski trip coming up where I leave on the 16th so I am anxious to get it before I leave.
It will be interesting too see how many of these 16" M1 Max 32 core, 64 GB ordered 10/25 - 10/26 will fall into this category of expected delivery dates remaining unchanged.

I ordered 10/25 and see no change in the initial quoted delivery of 12/9 - 12/16. On Thursday it will be 12/9 and unfortunately expect to see no change in the delivery dates.

Wonder what is going on with orders submitted on 10/25 and 10/26.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I feel like it’s getting sort of difficult to track everyone’s ordering experience. If people are willing to collate information, it might be nice to have everything in one place where people can see the variation in delivery dates. I made a public Google Sheet if people are interested (improvements welcome as I’m on an iPad and the Sheets app isn’t great):

@Mods, note, I don’t think this is against the forum rules, but obviously feel free to delete if so.

Mine was submitted 10/21 and arrived yesterday 16 MAX 32 64GB 2TB after the dates changed to 16-23 Dec.

  • 2TB SSD storage
ORDERED: 11/29
EST. DELIVERY DATE: 12/16-12/23

Still waiting on it to move out of "processing" and into "preparing to ship." Hoping it ships soon because I would love for it to arrive a little earlier. My 2012 MBP is on its last leg ?

I've been following this thread for a while but never posted. I think I got lucky cause it was very quick.

I placed my order on November 26th 16in silver, 24gpu, 32ram, 1TB with a French Canadian keyboard.
My CC got charged on December 2nd and shipped on December 4th with UPS. Still waiting for the information in the UPS app. Delivery date is December 14th. Not sure if it will be on time.
I'm in Quebec Canada.
Can't wait to get it!!

My 14 inch sat in Memphis for about a week. Finally out for delivery yesterday, and FedEx says it was delivered, however I didn't receive it.
So now I'm waiting on apple and fedex to do their investigations and figure out where it is
That is really frightening... I guess no signature was required? Mine was delivered yesterday by FedEx without signature requirement, which surprised me a bit. Many posters are saying that a signature was needed for delivery, so maybe it has something to do with the destination? I wonder how Apple or its shippers decide who needs a signature and who doesn't.

That is very scary though, definitely let us know the outcome. It looks like you'll be waiting for another computer though... wow. I am so sorry that happened to you. Please let us know what happens!

Same. Here I ordered the 14 inch M1 Pro on 11/29 with estimated delivery of 12/15-12/22. Still waiting for it to move out of processing.

I would call apple. Does your configuration include 64gb ram? That seems to be the killer
Yes it is the 64GB RAM. I noticed that my order details don’t appear on the iPhone like it does for iPad/MacBook Safari (its in the signature). Pasting the details below in case others are curious about my order.

16” Apple M1 Max; 10-core CPU, 32-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine
64GB unified memory; 4TB SSD storage
Ordered: Oct. 26, 2021
Status: Processing

Ordered: 27th Oct
Specs: 16" Macbook Pro with Apple M1 Max chip with 10-core CPU, 32-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine, 2TB storage and 64GB RAM
Expected: 3rd-10th Dec

Still in Processing!
Called Apple and they said should still receive it on the 10th, which I highly doubt! :(

I never checked the credit card transaction history in regards to the Apple order but I just did a moment ago and it shows that the charge is Pending but the date is Dec. 3rd. I ordered on Oct. 26th. Does that mean anything, like Apple is double checking the credit card before making a charge? Or is it just the credit card company moving the Pending charge forward to the current statement?

Many FedEx drivers are lazy. They write COVID on the signature and drop it off (or keep it if they feel like a little grand theft). UPS and DHL are very consistent with requiring the signature. FedEx hasn't asked for a signature here since June 2020.

Ordered 10/31 - 14inch 32c/64G/2TB
Original delivery window - Dec 2 - Dec 9
Got pushed back to Dec 6 - Dec 13th

Card just got charged this morning (Dec 6th) and status changed to "prepare to ship"

no tracking info so far

Thanks for making this - I entered my data. Looks like others with 12/3 or 12/4 ship dates still have inactive tracking numbers.

Reading these forums and over on reddit, it seems a pretty consistent issue that anyone (including myself) who received a UPS tracking number on Dec 3rd does not yet have any details from UPS even though Apple is showing delivery for next Tues, Dec 14th.

I'd seen someone suggest that all the numbers were printed in China, that our MBPs (usually 16" Max/32gb/2tb) were wrapped on a pallet, and put directly on a UPS plane to the US (and I think we're all on the recurring Shenzhen -> Anchorage flights, either 5X71 or 5X77). The first time that UPS will actually scan them is when they're cleared and handed off to US operations just not sure if that'll be Anchorage or the next hop after into the continental US. At least that's an explanation that makes sense rather than all of our laptops have been lost somewhere. It's a substantial group of people, extrapolating from the comments.

I'm also betting that we'll see deliveries starting around the end of the week rather than next week based on the UPS times I've seen between the tracking number being issued and the actual delivery. Apple seems to generally have a slightly later expected delivery date for *most* people.
I should be in that same batch. Got the number on the 3rd. Says 14th. Still not active in UPS system.

Yeah, my 16' seems to be in the same batch too.

It’s here!! (16in/32core/64GB RAM/1TB Build)

Update: I underestimated this new iteration. The display is actually a bit better than the Pro Display XDR. Then I listened to various types of media and it’s the built-in speakers. This notebook has a very powerful audio system that actually competes with my home theater system in terms of audio quality/range. Bass is something that acts like it came out of a sound bar or a small subwoofer. It’s shockingly good.

This computer is what for any user who needs a true all-in-one powerful system that allows content creation with no compromise in terms of today’s standards. This new MacBook is just incredible…
