During the night, I had a new notification that said that "package is pending release from a non-UPS broker". Earlier in the day it was still in China so I don't know where it is now...

It was scheduled to come today (14th), than push back to the 15th. Original window was 15-22 so I guess it won't be here before the end of the week, maybe early next week.

Woke up to some pretty good news this morning! A whole 3 days early! Can't wait to see this bad boy in person!

Just got that notification this morning also. Who knows what is going on?? That is a notification I've had in the past so not unexpected. I guess that is a scan because we are in Canada. Don't see that scan on the US guys that have posted UPS tracking details.

It seems like I was a day late. Everyone who ordered before the 25th got their card charged in early December and has received their MBP. Still waiting on mine to finish the “Preparing to ship” phase. They’re estimate says I should receive it by the 20th but I just don’t see how that’s possible at this point as that’s 6 days away and my card hasn’t been charged yet.

Enjoy your spiffed out MacBook :)

And the same with mine coming to Scotland UK…..delivery for me supposed to be Thursday 16th although Apple App still showing today (clearly not happening!)
and, same story with mine coming to Oregon. Apple still says today, UPS originally agreed, then delayed a day, then delayed another day, and now seems to have given up on a day.

Anyone else order a 14" around the first week of November and still in processing hell? I'm thinking the combo of 64GB RAM and M1 Max are what's holding me up. Seeing a number of 16" computers with similar specs ordered AFTER November 5th (my order date) that have shipped and been delivered.

14-inch MacBook Pro - Space Gray

Hardware:

  • Accessory Kit
  • Backlit Magic Keyboard with Touch ID - US English
  • 64GB unified memory
  • 1TB SSD storage
  • Apple M1 Max with 10-core CPU, 24-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine
  • 14-inch Liquid Retina XDR display
  • Three Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI port, SDXC card slot, MagSafe 3 port
  • 96W USB-C Power Adapter

I ordered a 16" on 10/21 (Space Gray, M1 Max 10/32, 4TB) and it's still on processing. Original shipping date was supposed to be between 12/15 - 12/21 but got bumped earlier to 12/9 - 12/16.

I'm doubtful it'll make it by Thursday but we'll see.

Just got word that my 14" has cleared customs and should be here in FL sometime on the 15th.

Yes, it seems like around Nov 24th was the cut off. I would say if you had a CTO/BTO it will take over a week once shipped to arrive.

Ty, migrating my data now, will know in about 4 hours lol

For those of us who wait, we must be patient.
As Groucho used to say: "Time flies like an arrow - fruit flies like a banana".

Here's an update on my Silver 16" 24GPU/32GB/1TB:

• Ordered Dec. 2 (delivery Dec. 21 - 29)
• Card charged Dec. 11
• Preparing to ship Dec. 13
• Shipped Dec. 14 (DHL tracking states "Picked up" in Shanghai)
• Delivery Dec. 21 (according to Apple order page) - destination CA

Cheers! ?

To recap:
Purchased a 16" M1 Max 24-core GPU 32GB Unified Memory 2TB SSD on Monday, November 29th
Status changed from "Processing" to "Preparing to Ship" on Friday, December 10th
Card was charged on Saturday, December 11th
It shipped from China on Saturday, December 11th
Arrived in Memphis on Sunday, December 12th
Left Memphis Tuesday early morning (Dec. 14), arrived in ATL and was delivered around 10:00 AM EST

When it comes to shipping orders Apple has customarily underpromised and overdelivered. However, the timeline below tells a different story —one of overpromising and underdelivering.

Nov 25 – Order placed for a MacBook Pro 14-inch
Dec 03 – Credit card charged
Dec 06 – Apple: Order shipped. UPS Tracking Number provided. “Delivers Dec 15, 2021 by Standard Delivery”
Dec 07 – UPS: No tracking information available
Dec 08 – UPS: No tracking information available
Dec 09 – UPS: No tracking information available
Dec 10 – UPS: No tracking information available
Dec 11 – UPS: "Shipper created a label, UPS has not received the package yet.”
Dec 11 – UPS: “Origin Scan” (Shanghai, CN)
Dec 12 – UPS: No movement
Dec 13 – UPS: No movement
Dec 14 – UPS: “Your package is in transit.” (Shanghai, CN)

The order will not get delivered on Dec 15 as promised by Apple.

Hi All:

My 16" SG M1Max 32 Core 64 GB 2 TB ordered October 25 with estimated delivery of 12/09 - 12/16 arrived today December 14. Laptop appears free of cosmetic issues. I am currently, setting up with a Time Machine back-up. I am still waiting on the trade-in packaging. If I run into any issues necessitating a return to Apple I will let you all know.

Don

BTW. Tracking worksheet has been updated.

I received the same notification too. Not sure when I’ll get it but delivery date is back to today, which seems impossible but we’ll see. Fingers crossed that it arrives today!

1st week of November, I ordered a fully maxed out machine... 16" M1 Max/64 GB Ram/8TB SSD. Still in Processing. Expected delivery is December 21-28. Initially, I was hoping that it would be delivered early as some had received their machines 2 weeks early... now, I'm just hoping to get my machine this year.

Cheers! ?
Interesting. I ordered the same color and spec.

  • Ordered: 12/7
  • Estimated delivery: 1/18 - 1/25
  • Card charged: 12/9
  • Preparing to ship (to local Apple store in Japan) : 12/10
  • Scheduled pickup date: 12/13
  • Exception: Less than 3 hours before store closing I received an email from Apple Japan saying that there is possibility of my order being delayed.
  • Latest order status: Available for pickup 1/25/22
I thought it was odd that they charged my card and notified me of shipping so shortly after ordering. I was skeptical of the 12/13 pickup date. Now, not sure what to expect.

The tracking worksheet has been updated.

Based on this info, I thought mine would be a lot later than expected until I started replying to this post.

Ordered November 3. 16" 32GPU/64GB/8TB:
Expected delivery: Dec 21-28
As I checked to confirm order date, status changed to Preparing to Ship... Dec 14

I can not wait for this and I'm about to order a 14" for home use. Monterrey is a bear with my current 2016 laptop (2.7Ghz quad core intel with 16GB mem) and I just don't feel like waiting 2 more months for a new machine.

I'm not sure what's going on with Apple, but I have never had such poor performance on my laptop since Monterrey was released. This is a 2015/2016 model and I've never felt the need to upgrade to a new machine. The current issues with this laptop sucks especially since Monterrey. I hope this is not the new normal.

This information is probably not useful to at least 95% of you here but I’ll put it here anyway! My order details are in my signature. Basically, I ordered on Oct. 26th a 16” MacBook Pro M1 Max to be delivered to my home in Tokyo, Japan. In Japan, Apple contracts Yamato Transport to handle deliveries from China. Yamato has a separate division solely for Apple shipments. When I reached out to them via email (in English), they were very responsive and gave some pretty good details on the inner workings of their delivery system.
  • When an Apple product is “shipped”, Yamato does not update each time it moves from one building to another within China. This is unlike FedEx and UPS which will show movement within Shanghai and Beijing. This explains the two status updates I saw: “Dec. 10, shipped” and “Dec. 10, departure from overseas”. Then zero updates until….
  • The Yamato help desk was able to tell me when the incoming flight from China was scheduled: December 15, 4PM. Yes, they even tell you what time. Within Tokyo at least, they will normally deliver the package the following day which is what my scheduled delivery is, Dec. 16th.
  • Because I leave for a ski trip on Dec. 16th, I tried to have the MacBook re-routed to my hotel in Hokkaido. Yamato is not authorized to make changes to the delivery location, instead they tell you to call Apple (they even provided the number). But….
  • Unfortunately, Apple does not allow an address change once the package is shipped. However, you can ask them to deliver to a local combini in Japan such as Family Mart. This requires you to bring your residence card for proof of who you are and your home address which must match the original shipping address. For me, there is no combini near the ski resort I will be at and I have no car to driver out to one.
  • Fortunately, I was able to arrange a re-scheduled delivery date with Yamato (Dec. 24th) instead of waiting to get a missed delivery attempt notice in my mailbox and then having to arrange for another attempted delivery (7 days past the 1st attempt).
At the moment, it is a little past 2PM here in Tokyo so I will be watching the tracking status to see if does update sometime after 4PM (arrival into country). Just have to wait another 9 days now. **sigh**
