I usually go with the silver, but with the M1, I went with the space gray and actually like the darker gray. If the new M1 Pro is going to be your daily driver (for hopefully the next several years 😁), you don’t want to have any regrets.

Thank you! My previous Mac is space gray. I was wondering if I should get a silver model instead. Can’t decided 😂 I do like dark colors so I’m 50/50.

Woke up today and the silver color just hit me 😂

Think I'm 99% sure I'm not buying a MacBook Pro.

Great device, but I can't get over that notch, especially a notch without Face ID.

Tim Cook please give me a damn MacBook Pro with Face ID or no Face ID and no notch. 🙏

Needless to say I decided NOT to order and will wait for the updated Mac Mini or Mac Pro as I will probably use more in a desktop environment doing editing. Initially I could have placed my order and gotten it Oct 12-Oct 18th!

Just my luck with Apple.

Edit - heard back from ID.ME who said:

"It sounds like the item you are trying to purchase is not eligible for a discount."

What a waste of time, I won't use that discount Apple program ever again.

I used the veteran discount just fine yesterday ($1799 14" base model). You may need to verify your id.me account.....It was available for all the new release models and accessories.

Hahahah! No way I’m cancelling out my order. I’m just 50/50 on it. I’m not too sure I may just keep the space gray. Should I order silver one too and keep both?

Can’t decide, help your girl out.

I'm not sure if "very good article" and "The Verge" go hand-in-hand! Lots of historical angst between The Verge and Apple.
