I prefer the fingerprint key, not Face ID. When I'm kicked back in the recliner with a beer watching a game, and the laptop is an arms reach away monitoring something else, if it goes into sleep mode all I have to do is reach over and touch the fingerprint key and it wakes up. With Face ID you have to lean forward in view of the camera for it to unlock.

Every couch potato knows this......

Nice choice!! That was my #1 choice, and I waffled over the 64GB vs. 32GB for a week before the orders went live. I decided upon exactly what you ordered, except for 32GB. I use the laptop a lot for image and video processing, but nothing more taxing than that, so I settled. But I wanted the big pipeline and speed increases that the Max offers, so I'm pretty sure it will work great. It's pretty exciting to see the major increases with Apple silicon in such a short amount of time, compared to the absolute snails crawl of the Intel silicon. I can only imagine what changes will happen in the next 5 years!

Well since i messed up my Apple Card my original order for my MBP got cancelled so i ended up ordering a new one today and since now its shipping in November decided to get the M1MAX 24GPU with 32GB 1TB but i am still kinda thinking of doing the M1MAX 32GPU WITH 64GB but it will get quite pricey so not too sure yet

I received a call from Apple Manager today. He confirmed Macbook's are coming from China. Crossing the Pacific Ocean. He also told me I was assigned to the fastest shipping that is offered by Apple (2-3 Business days), Not sure what he meant by that, I know I'm not getting it a day before.

I’m pages late, but just came in to say that space gray is overrated and silver ftw! I sincerely regret getting my MBA in SG, and plan on (eventually) getting my next MBP in silver 😺.

The only thing I’m kinda bummed about is the lack of contrast between the keys and the well it sits in, but who knows, it may look really nice in person.

I work for MS, and have been away from the Mac scene for like 2-3 years (but still had an iPad/iPhone), I can't wait to get back into it. My heart and soul will always be Mac.

It will be interesting to compare the Max to my AMD 5950x.

Absolutely! I’m also poking fun and wanted to add some silver rep after a lot of praise for SG. I’ve always personally had a thing for silver/platinum colors.

One day, I’ll have a SS silver watch matching with a silver MBP. 😻
