I understand the trade in is nice since it's instant. I ended up selling my MBA M1 on Swappa for $780, after all fees (Swappa, PayPal, shipping) I have about $688, Apple had offered $620. So not too shabby.

Yes. And be careful with that, because Apple’s shipping dates are pessimistic. It happens very often they ship it much earlier. So it could be you could get it even 2 weeks earlier. Depends on how many people cancel their order or if Apple will get new supply earlier.
If you feel your order is not right, then place the correct order. Don’t wait till the latest moment. I canceled today already 2 hours before orders went PFS. So I almost was too late.
Well you can get them from a bunch of different places. I just chose Amazon.
At some point 10 years or so ago, Apple had a falling out with iKlear & switches to Whoosh! I have seen them use it. You can’t miss the orange cloth.

Yeah, I had an order with Apple with a deliver date of first week of Dec. Shortly after placing it, it moved up to Nov 17. Custom order.
Probably someone who had to wait longer will get good news. I did the same thing. Waiting sucks, though!
The base 14” for the UK shows 12-19nov but as soon as you customise it, the date shifts to 25 nov - 2 dec
I'm going to give mine till tomorrow to move to PFS and if it doesn't then I'll change my shipping address to where I'll be on my trip. I'd like to get it before I leave on the 28th but we'll see. My order still says "Arrives Oct 26 - Nov 2"
Where are you for that to be the case? Most debit cards in the uk at least are visa so no issues using them with apple
Any chances of picking up the standard configurations in-store at the Apple Store in the next few weeks? Not sure if these Macs usually sell out quickly or Apple has a steady supply in store?

Just based on casual observation of the iPad Pro stock after launch (I ended up picking up in-store instead of waiting) - they'll get shipments of a few once per week typically at most of the stores at least near me. They'll sell quickly and be gone before the day is over especially in the first few weeks. So you just have to observe the inventory of the nearby stores the first week to figure out when they appear. Usually restocked between ~11am and ~2pm out here, sometimes a little later.

Yeah I did the same. My only hesitation was using Apple Pay vs. the regular checkout and I lost the 10/26 date while swapping to the checkout flow, with the shopping cart being broken for some reason the first few times I tried to get back to it. Took probably 1-2 minutes in all, including finding the CVV for the apple card. Now I know, I should've stuck with Apple Pay haha

Got a message from Apple Pay at around 830am that my card got declined, had to make a few phone calls hoping this didn't get cancelled but finally on the other side
