I just got done chatting with Apple via business chat. I inquired as to whether it’s worth paying the 8$ to add Express shipping to my order (Nov 3-5) to potentially get bumped into next week.
Essentially I was told that anything configured to order (not a base model) will ship from overseas directly, and express shipping won’t have an impact on. So more than likely I’m stuck with 11/3-5, barring any sudden logistics miracles. A guy can hope! I’m dreaming of 10/29 so I can spend the week at the beach with it!

There were definitely a few folks in here who appeared to have CTO orders, but I think most who have delivery for next week are in the 16” models.
I don’t think anyone has noted a CTO 14” model for delivery next week tho. Just base models as far as I’ve noticed.
Sounds like the custom config 💻 were push to one or two week?
Maybe they’re just padding timing to ensure they can fulfill all orders and we’ll start seeing updated shipping for next week!
j/k - I’m kidding of course. Apple’s logistics are a thing of legend! They’ve got this down to exact science. And their partners - GEODIS and others help carefully orchestrate this tap dance many times a year. I think most of us can speak from experience that these estimated dates are often dead on.
I’ll still hope, I’m an optimist! But grateful to have you all to spend the next 2 weeks with!

I’ve been charged and PTS earlier today for the base 14”. I had been waffling back and forth whether I should cancel order and get a better spec for the 14” but I guess there’s no looking back now 🤷♂️
I have a custom config 14” with launch day promise and it’s PFS. Another custom config 16” with Nov 3-5 promise but that one’s PFS as well.
Absolutely, there's a whole week of possible developments before the 29th. When time did you place your order? Right after the event?
