Well the 12 PB is gone, so this is the replacement, you'll have to wait a very long time ...Machead III said:Someone wake me when they replace the "12 PB.

I think they did several spectacular things.
1. DVI Out up to 1900 x 1200
2. Spanning for Extended Desktop
2. Gigabit Ethernet
3. 1280 x 800 13.3" Glossy Widescreen
4. Built-In iSight w/microphone
5. 2GHz Core Duo
6. 2GB Max RAM
7. MagSafe Power Adapter
Please tell me what is not Spectacular about all that?
I dropped my 17" PB *gasp* and also dented in a corner 15 months ago ... it's worked great since, which stands to show the durability of computers nowadays =) Altho' I had to replace the AC connector twice, the battery once, and the HD once ... so I suppose it's not as durable as I thought. But still a very reliable computer =)Aldus said:A few days ago, I dropped my olde G4 iBook (dim screen, 10 min battery life and failing optical drive after three years of abuse) ) on a tiled floor and cracked a corner. It still works fine though, but I think my subconscious may have been telling me it was time to step up.
Yes, with top specs you just customize the $1299 model with an extra $50 for the 80 GB HD which is the "top" black model.dmcgann said:i want a white macbook but with top specs! is this possible??

Since this is similar to a Mac mini, with a hack to disable hardware check Aperture will run ok on it, performance similar to the Mac mini.memo06dic said:Can I run aperture on it?
I dont understand why they cant make this an option like theyh have for the MBP... am I missing something?? Not everyone wants a glossy screen. Still, its pretty sweet and I bet they make it optional in upcoming revsiGary said:This:

If they ask for proof, all you need is a copy of the acceptance letter, class schedule (if you registered already), etc and you will get the edu discount for your school.sgd88 said:And for new students? Can you get the educational discount at Apple stores too?
