I really dislike the glossy screens.

Am I mistaken?
the MacBooks come with two 256 DIMMs.
Can anyone comment on this?
This machine weighs a bit more because it's built to be rugged and sturdy. If you compared the 4.5 pound machines and the MacBook side-by-side you would see and feel the difference. This machine can survive in a student's backpack.macmadandproud said:Now don't flame me: They are gorgeous machines, and it is not my intent to whine (too much!) but is anyone else a little dissapointed that they weigh in at 5.2lbs? That is only a sliver less than the 15.4" MBP...and this has a 13" screen!!
Asus and others are putting better specs into 4.5lb machines...why shouldn't Apple be able to? 😕
SOmeone in another thread said that the mac mini could run it no problem, once you crached the program so it didn't do the hardware check. I'm sure the macbook will run it fine.MattQiu said:anyone know if Aperture can run on MacBook?

I think they threw that in just so you guys had something to bitch about🙄edesignuk said:The premium for the black one is taking the piss a bit though. Naughty naughty.
Just like you get better contrast on glossy paper, you also get a better picture on a glossy screen. The downside of that is of course reflections. Its a win-lose feature.Diatribe said:I can't believe they advertise that glossy screen as a feature and there is no way to get rid of it...😡
This update is probably one of the best Apple has ever done except that DAMN GLOSSY SCREEN.
You can't even use it in sunlight now... what's the damn point in haveing a portable then in the first place if you can't use it outside?
Argh. 😡
