right, but why would we all do this.... Tosser may do it, but the rest of us. i dont think so... hes looking to start trouble like always
Thus, note the "".
I'm convinced someone (i.e., a real person) was behind these glitches. Whether they were in preparation for upcoming updates or not remains to be seen.
Never noticed how often something photoshopped arrives at a rumour site, and how many people especially mac users seem to excel at photoshopping?yeah i'm sure everyone here has photoshop![]()
plus why would we all do that anyway![]()
Suurre, Chris just because I tend to disagree with your utterings, I must be about "starting trouble"right, but why would we all do this.... Tosser may do it, but the rest of us. i dont think so... hes looking to start trouble like always
The Pro line needs to stay as it is, in terms of thickness. In fact, even thicker would be better. If anything "has to" get thinner, I hope it's theI also hope that they don't decide to make the laptops thinner...the smaller you get in a laptop the higher the likelihood of heat related failure, not to mention the inevitable reduction in specs. Lighter is more important than thinner IMHO.
If they do update the MacBooks first, they won't be better than the Pros in any spec way, like FSB speed, max RAM, and RAM type (besides the HDD).Finally if Apple continues selling the MBP's without an update, and then updates the MB's, then Im fairly certain that Steve has lost his mind.
Unless the upcoming MacBook update is a really big jump, then there will still be a significant gap.But I firmly believe that the Pro lines should be a huge jump above the consumer lines.
I use Keynote for all my "photoshopping."GIMP is free.![]()
...they were avaliable in multiple colours, and it was a really kind of cool and groovy ad campaign.
The lowest end price point was 799

You sure it wasn't an iPod commercial?![]()
Below midrange. The wonderful realm of 64-bit memory interfaces, even fewer shaders, and super IGP's with dedicated VRAM.Interesting. You mean "really low end" as in as far below low-end as low-end is below midrange?
I'm sure it boggles Apple to think that Mac users want choice.I have found that I need more CPU power than GPU power. However, I don't see why Apple can't just offer the opposite as a BTO option.
(By the way, is there basically only guys that go on this site!? Just from the post you can kinda tell there's hardly any girls)
Hey guys! (By the way, is there basically only guys that go on this site!? Just from the post you can kinda tell there's hardly any girls)
That must have been exciting! So, last night I had a dream that I saw a new macbook commercial, hahaha you know you're desperate when. The lowest end price point was 799 and they were avaliable in multiple colours, and it was a really kind of cool and groovy ad campaign.
Definitely a dream.
Busted! You sure it wasn't an iPod commercial?![]()
If the speculation about the current MacBook and MacBook Pro lines merging into one "MacBook" line is true, then I hope that the "MacBook Pro" line is reintroduced as a thick and very powerful notebook line. So Apple would have three types of notebooks. Thin (MacBook Air), "regular" (MacBook), and thick and powerful (MacBook Pro).I agree 100%. After all, what people forget is that the Pro line is supposed to be just that, a "Pro" line. Meaning it is to be for power users who care about specs and performance. If Apple would stop caring so much about "thinness" on it's pro line, we would stop having super-hot laptops, and laptops that are light years behind in graphics card power. And with more thickness comes more specs.
This will be even more obvious once the MacBooks go aluminum. I'm afraid that Apple's response to the smaller difference between the two lines is to further cripple the MacBook, rather than making the MacBook Pro better (some changes can be made without making the MBP any thicker).I'm afraid the current "Pro" line is just a bunch of super-expensive, 15" and 17" Macbooks that happen to have a medium-class graphics card.

See above.

Oh, and I don't have Photoshop. Hell, I don't even have Gimp. I'm amazed you can get so much out of me giving two possible explanations. Trying to start trouble, are we, Chris?
has apple ever deployed a new line without a pre announced keynote?
What if they is?If apple are planning to do an announcement for the launch of these new macbooks it is very unlikely that it will be the 23rd because they send out the invitations to the guests that are invited to the announcement a couple of weeks before just like they did for the Lets Rock IPod announcement........so if they had sent out invites and were going to make an announce on the 23rd , surly someone on the net would of mentioned that they had received a invite for an upcoming apple announcement.
If Apple ARE NOT planning to do an announcement the 23rd is still possible for the release of the new macbooks.
If Apple ARE planning on doing an announcement then the 14th of October is still the likely date as it gives them time to send the invites out to the guest a couple of weeks before the event just like they did for the recently "Lets Rock" iPod announcement.
I don't normally think that anyone deserves any product. My G3 iMac is starting to feel sluggish. I think it's time for a shiny new 17" macbook pro with a cinema screen and 4gb RAM. I can't wait. I deserve it.
