If apple are planning to do an announcement for the launch of these new macbooks it is very unlikely that it will be the 23rd because they send out the invitations to the guests that are invited to the announcement a couple of weeks before just like they did for the Lets Rock IPod announcement........so if they had sent out invites and were going to make an announce on the 23rd , surly someone on the net would of mentioned that they had received a invite for an upcoming apple announcement.
If Apple ARE NOT planning to do an announcement the 23rd is still possible for the release of the new macbooks.
If Apple ARE planning on doing an announcement then the 14th of October is still the likely date as it gives them time to send the invites out to the guest a couple of weeks before the event just like they did for the recently "Lets Rock" iPod announcement.
See this is my thinking. After the outcry from everyone about the lets rock event not being worth it
I think the "glitches" on the apple site indicate that it will just be a silent rollout. But I really cannot back it up, just a hunch
all I can say is , Apple, im buying a macbook around xmas no matter what, but please still TRY to awe me.
