MacBook Shipments Have Begun?

I pray it happens at least by next Tuesday, I need a new MacBook for school, but I can only wait until at MOST next week to purchase.
 
I will be quite disappointed if it is not coming out today.
I need it for school but I don't want to purchase a soon to be old MacBook model.

Does anyone know if Macbook Pro is shipping- still holding onto defective current model 4 replacement but DO NOT WANT SAME MODEL AGAIN!!!!

Nothing has appeared yet. Besides, I highly doubt they'll give you a new one. They'll probably just repair you're old one?

They won't. They will give him one of the old stock if they can't fix his (assuming it is under warranty). They keep those for a longgggg time for this very reason.
 
Considering it's most probably not going to be today, these are my next predictions:

Tuesday, 30th September
Tuesday, 14th October

It can't be any other dates, can it?

As long as their are refurbished units of the same type, you'll still get the same model. I sent in a 1st gen Macbook after 2 years (ACare) and I got a new 1st gen unit with my HD and two batteries (they gave me the old one and the new one!!! That was cool).

You missed one Tuesday in between those two Tuesdays? In reality it could be as late as end of October to be honest. But I'm edging on sooner rather than later just due to the stock levels overall. I'm just waiting for Apple's site to show 3-5 days shipping on the Macbooks, that's always a sure fire way to know a change is coming.

Would be nice of Apple to hold an event though, that way we'll know exactly when they're coming a week prior (invites). But who knows.

edit: if it wasn't for the stock levels and the fact Apple told retailers to stock up for 3-4 weeks worth of the product I could have seen this going into early-mid Nov.
 
we all wish it was earlier than the predicted Oct 14 but I doubt it that it will be before then :( - Perhaps they are waiting for the UK B2S deal to finish? :S

Yeah I know I missed a week - I don't think they'll come then.
Agreed with the event, it would get rid off months of speculation!

Yea, and if you played with it a couple weeks ago then you would know compared to the iPhone it's an also ran. The G-Phone did NOT turn out how we all thought it would. 3 years ago when it was announced it was the bomb and would have set a benchmark, but today the new benchmark is the iPhone in smartphones. I like the price and I've used T-Mobile which around here is about as good as a snowmobile in august. It will make good press but I don't think we'll see the sales numbers Google was expecting. Honestly compared to Apple's deployment this is going to look BETA and I'm sure we'll here something along those lines and "It's a first generation product...." BS today as well.

Has anyone checked the Masconi center or town hall calender yet? That's WE know when it's coming. Looked for blocked out dates or better still call and ask if they have space avail for those dates.
 
I'm posting from a G4 PowerBook I bought in March of 2004; it's my only (and primary) computer. I REALLY need a new laptop! :eek:
