Well, I hope these next two weeks go by fast. I can't wait for this moment!!!
I bet you this guy is on MacRumors. I wonder what he'd say if he saw his picture.lol
Barrons reports on an analyst note from Citigroup's Richard Gardner who claims to have received confirmation that new MacBooks are shipping.
The report cites "field checks" as the source of the information and describes the new MacBooks with a "very thin aluminum casing, an LED-backlit display and an aggressive entry-level price point."
This description matches many of the circulating rumors, including photos that claimed to depict the new MacBook. Also, the "aggressive" price point could also represent the lower margins that Apple predicted for future quarters during their Q3 2008 Financial Results. At that time, Apple described a "future product transition" which could impact margins.
The most recent claims have pinpointed October 14th as the possible day for the MacBook release.

And will people go mad if the MacBooks are not released on October 14th would you say?would be heartbreaking if Oct 14 isn't holy day for potential buyers lol

Hi all
As a long-time reader (and HUGE fan of the live event coverage), and a new poster; I have one question about the supposed product updates on October 14th.
My apologies if this has been covered before; but as an owner of a Feb. 2008 MBP with major GPU issues (that Apple Cust. Relations kindly offered to replace with the new model upon its release), have any sources other than John Gruber of Daring Fireball estimated this date?
There seems to be much speculation on the date, but all of it (CNet, ZDNet, AppleInsider, and others) looks to be based on one person's estimate (along with any [unverifiable] sources he may have).
first post of the thread
here you go
The article I read was more in depth with where it left from and when thats why I mentioned it now. I knew thats what this thread was about thats why I never bothered posting the link. I was right with my assumption that nobody cares.![]()

hey if its got more info, then by all means post!
you don't care....
Of course there are going to be new macbooks everybody knows that. :sits and waits:
lol, people will defo go insane- Only SJ's holy hands can save us from insanity by giving us a glimpse or releasing those new MB/MBP! lol

On a new topid, you know how some say that Apple do not care for those like us (as in semi-fanboys to proper fanboys)? IMO - if it werent for them, not many would change to apple! I mean, before deciding to go to mac, people always ask friends/family with a mac or they can go on here to get Mac users opinions right? So technically we are providing free marketing (word of mouth!)![]()
Hah! There lies the problem I tried looking in my history and could not find it. All I remember is it left from some factory the same factory that makes asus and some other brands on 9/12.
I asked this question before but never got a response. Does apple do surveys or what ever to see what consumers want? And do they take anything into consideration?

I haven't seen other sources for October 14, but multiple sources do say October. My apologies if this has been covered before; but as an owner of a Feb. 2008 MBP with major GPU issues (that Apple Cust.
