MacBook Shipping Times

W00t! It's 6:19am here, and I just got an update that my MacBook is in fact about 2 miles away from my house. God willing there's still time for them to load the bugger on the truck before it goes out this morning...

I'm not religious, but I'm praying 🙂

Update: Seems that the package has delay from china, and hasn't come to amsterdam after all ! ;(

So if a delivery gets to the destination city around 10 am or so, it's going to sit until the next day?? That seems a bit inefficient. Minde was at the dest. city yesterday at 5 pm, but estimated ship date is still 10:30 am tomorrow. Here's to hoping that they just decide to not update it instead of keeping it for a day and a half...🙄

This is getting plain ridiculous. TNT should be shot. When you get shipping notification on thursday that Apple have despatched your item, only to find out 4 days later its still at the bloody airport 😡 😡 😡

Apple drop TNT they suck monkey balls.

BTW, its Apple the faulty here! Cause when I called TNT, I ask them if there was any possibility to receive the package before 29may by maybe pay a fee... The woman said that's Apple who decide when you should receive the package... TNT can't do anything without permision of Apple

😕 That doesnt make sense. That's the chewbacca defense all over again.....

Notice how status has now gone to Exception on TNT's tracking - but still reports On Schedule on Apple's..... 😕 😕

Call TNT and ask them if there is a possibility to get the package sooner etc...

If there's delays it'll give mine chance to catch up with yours and they can all be friends.

Mine also has an estimated delivery date of May 29, 2006, which is next monday (bank holiday here in the UK), bet it comes tuesday. Hoping it comes friday. 😀
 
I think I'm being kept in the dark. 😕 All mine STILL says is

Mine is still like that too 🙁 Though my estimated delivery date is slipping. It's now the 30th, which is a bank holiday, so it's more like the 31st.

The bank holiday is the 29th, if you're in the UK.

Apparently they are shipped with some sort of economy-economy express, or loafer-express if you like 🙄

TNT said they send the package with the first flight where there's room for it. They couldn't tell me anything more. Estimated delivery is 1.june, but I could get it before or even after because of the shipment method..
 
well, just checked my apple store order statues page, now the estimated delivery date says 01 Jun 2006 (Subject to change)...🙁 and the tracking info. is still "unknown"

by the way, my hometown is Shanghai 😛 I called my parents last friday and they told me about the typhoon thing, it was pretty bad when it landed. however, last weekend the weather in Shanghai were perfect, sunny and 30 (degree Celsius). who knows why our MB got delayed?! 😕
 
Ok now something new happened 🙂

The status went from "Not Found" to "Flight Booked" on may 20th... with an ETA at Flextronics Logistics B.V., Venray, NL, at may 30th... But i live in Denmark so i wouldn't be suprised if i didn't recieve it before june 1st... 🙁

But now i can track it at http://www.apecode.com/appletrack/ at least...

I still don't understand how it takes 10days to come from China. Surely it's only a flight or two? You'd think it would be 2-3days really. Or maybe it is, but not with people like TNT? 🙁

Apple use Economy Express, its a delivery for less urgent shipments 🙄

Mine in theory came well before yours in Pudong and yet still hasnt appeared in the Amsterdamn Hub....

Its just plain pot luck I guess.

I wont hold my breath till next week now anyway 🙄


I swear to god it would have been quicker for apple to strap the parcels to a couple of carrier pigeons than the inbreds at TNT... Totally Negligent Transportation....

I wonder if you order from an apple store in your town, or near you town, do you have the possibility to use the carrier you want, or will it be by TNt anyway?!

I wrote an e-mail to TNT today asking them whats going on...
They tell me that the package hasn't arrived at Amsterdam yet because of technical problems with the plane in pudong airport...😡

Now i have to wait to the 30 may before i can get it... 1 day delay..
