MacBook Shipping Times

I wrote an e-mail to TNT today asking them whats going on...
They tell me that the package hasn't arrived at Amsterdam yet because of technical problems with the plane in pudong airport...

Now i have to wait to the 30 may before i can get it... 1 day delay..

That's the reason I don't want to ring TNT. I know they're incompetent, but I dont want the agony of knowing how badly they are so...

This makes me happy: mine's (according to the tracker) waiting in Shuzou (and it's been there for over 24 hours). With some luck, it can catch your plane .

Thought I'd join in here, getting soooo impatient now!

Ordered the 1.83Ghz CTO with 80GB drive as soon as it was announced on 16th May. It shipped on the 18th (estimated to be 24th!), TNT got hold of it on the 20th, and it is now sitting in Pudong Airport like a few of you guys here.

On my Apple account order page it says it will ship by the 26th May, but on the 'Track my order' page on Apple it says it will be the 30th May.

I phoned TNT a few minutes ago and apparently mine is (still) on its way from China. I however, do not think it is. In any case, I'm still not getting any info about delays. I wonder why it's not being updated.

Once again TNT are useless. Why do Apple keep using them after years of problems?

Expected to ship on May 29 and delivery on June 1.

Flight departed

Mine was showing "flight booked" 20 May - it has just been updated to show that "flight departed" on the same date. If this is right then it should already be in Europe and we are just waiting for the on-line tracking to catch up with reality. The good news is that if a flight did go out on the 20th then the machines of many of those who are posting here will be on the flight.

I think they are really on their way, and compared to the MBP delays earlier this year this is a walk in the park

And I'm in Hong Kong!! (which is in China...)

Maybe it's because the delivery method for my macbook is by road....and it seems to take a long time for it to get shipped...plus we have public holiday on 31 May

Hehe... Apple just called me... They told me it's actually shipping TODAY and that I should count 3 to 5 days to receive it.

Ordered on 21, shipped on 22 and received by 27 would be a good performance!

Almost as impressive as with adorama.com. Once I ordered a pro lens on thursday at 11PM, and on Monday I had it mounted on my camera... BH are also fast and efficient!

Now, I've got to order Aperture, the hard drive and the RAM...

lol - aww, there's plenty of unpacking pics out there - it'll just make you more ansy. I'll ichat with ya tho!

Also, this is extra-special for me, because this is my first mac since about 1997 - been using PCs ever since. Last Mac OS I used was system 7 I think.

posting from my new macbook, 2.0 ghz. 120 gig hd, 512 (soon to be 1 gig) ram. w00t. No noise or heat issues yet, been charging up for about 20 or 30 mins. the bottom gets warm, but not too hot or anything. And it's just on the bottom, the keyboard isn't hot. What a beautiful BLACK macbook. The pictures don't do it justice. When I first heard matte, i was like wtf!!! but this isn't that kind of matte finish, it's just not glossy. Doesn't look like a dell by any means. Magsafe is nice, latch is nice, and the keyboard is great. Good response and movement. Definitely made for typing. I had planned on using a bt kb, but I don't think that will be the case anymore. And this 12x8 glossy screen is gorgeous! More on the macbook to come. Cheers.

i just got confirmation that my MB has shipped...original estimates above, new one is delivered by 5/26. hopefully sooner.

btw, i ordered online and just got a hard drive upgrade on 5/16 at 4:40 p.m. california time, if any of you want a reference to compare your order against...

estimated to deliver by 5/24...it's out for delivery today!! should have my MB in a few hours.

NO not really. They just read the same info I read on screen I asked if they would contact TNT and see if theres a problem, Customer Service said there's no need, they're sure it will get here, just not when....
