So did mine, but I'm out of luck. It's dead. I get a white screen, nothing else. Tried resetting the PRAM and the PMU, following instructions from people at AppleCare, but to no avail. They say I'll have to order a replacement, which will take another two weeks.

I'm not quite sure what I'll do if that happens to me. I imagine a red mist would descend...

Well, I can tell you that I'm in a very bad mood right now. And I didn't get much help from the Apple Store people, either. They basically told me that I'll have to spend another day, tomorrow, waiting for TNT to pick up the broken MacBook. That will be the third day in a row that I'm waiting for TNT.

And then I'll have to wait for a new one. Very, very annoying.

macbook black

just ordered a black macbook black with 120 HD/1 GB RAM on june 8th......unfortunately it is saying delivery around june 20th

i've read thru this post but was wondering if anyone has ordered/received one recently (end of May/beg. of June)? trying to get a better idea of delivery time in the states.

thanks!

I ordered a stock white macbook 2.0/sd on the seventh and it shipped today(the ninth) from SUZHOU CN(china I think) and has already gone to and departed from ankorage alaska. The estimated delivery date is the thirteenth by 10:30 am and I chose standard shipping. The ipod and dvi adapter is already here, they came this morning. The printer is scheduled to arrive the 14th, I really could care less about the printer but hey it was free.

Altough I don't live in States, I ordered mine in the end of May and got it in quite exactly two weeks time. Probably a bit faster to the US. The Apple Store original estimate was spot on or one day later but quite accurate.

Slower delivery times for Education Store customers?

Hi all... Can anyone confirm whether Apple have slower delivery times for Education Store customers?

I ordered my new white Macbook a week ago on the 3rd June - estimated shipping is June 12 and estimated delivery is June 21....

Judging by some of the posts above, others are receiving their purchases a lot faster! Wouldn't seem right if Apple are making teachers wait for new purchases - hardly encouraging of education!

Delivery times for the education store in Europe are the same as for the "normal store". My first Macbook arrived 10 days after I ordered it. My second Macbook (the other was broken) is not yet here though. When I called Apple today they said that they don't understand either why it hasn't been shipped yet and they forwarded my complaint to the shipping department which, unfortunately, is closed on Saturdays. So I have to wait another day until I hopefully get an update on my Macbook. If I don't hear anything new on Monday I want my money back.

Oh I didn't order until real late at night on the seventh though so really its like I ordered on the eighth

Ordered mine on the 7th, it shipped this morning, it's in Anchorage now.
Supposed to be arriving here in St. John's, Newfoundland June 15. Very excited!

I am going to order the MB 2.0 core duo tomorrow along with the ipod and printer since they are offering rebates that make those two things free with educational discount. It looks like they estimate different shipping times for all the items from "ships within 24 hours" to "ships in 5-7 days."
Questions:
1. Can I get my stuff to come first available or will the MB (longest ship estimate) hold everything up?
- Do you think that if I called them and let them know the printer was needed ASAP they would ship it seperately and earlier?
2. Does Apple process orders on Sundays?

My second Macbook has finally been shipped. It's scheduled to arrive on 20 June but I hope it'll be here earlier.

Arrived.

My MB arrived earlier than forseen by the almighty TNT. It was here on the 9th of June, instead of the 13:th, that is tomorrow. I cannot even begin to think of what my life was like without this little baby.

Yes, it gets hot. Very hot. But most laptops do, and it doesn't seem to disturb its operation.

And i, personally, can stop worrying about the glossy screen. I used it in searing sunshine in the park yesterday (snapped some photobooth shots aswell) and it worked as expected. Not a situation in which i would read a lot of text or watch a movie, or do much of anything actually, but show me the screen that can handle well under such extremes. It worked for scanning the nearby WiFi so i am pleased. And after all, it is much cooler to wardrive in dusk. ;)

I have yet to discover how to calibrate the battery though. It says in the manual: "Calibrate your battery within the first week." Ok, i thought, i will. But how? =)

Conclusion: Very pleased. I recommend it!

YES!!!!!! I've been wanting to be a part of this thread for a long time. 3 years actually. It's been 3 years since I first wanted a Mac.

Just bought my CTO MacBook. 2.0 Ghz with 1GB RAM and 80GB HDD, in white.

Estimated ship date: June 15th. I hope they bump it up and that I get it delivered soon. If not, I'll probably get it the 22nd or 23rd.

Oh man, I'm so excited.

Ordered mine the 8th (120HD/1GB RAM), it was scheduled to ship the 15th/arrive the 20th in NYC....it actually shipped today, June 12th it should get here this week (!!!!)

Well my stock white 2.0 macbook arrived today. I ordered late at night on the seventh so really the eighth, it shipped the ninth from china, scheduled delivery tomorrow the 13th by 10 am but arrived today the 12th at 10 am. So I am super freaking happy. I only chose standard shipping also.

Have been busy getting a new couch and rearranging the living room so I haven't had a chance to use it yet(haven't even turned it on yet just plugged it in and let it fully charge) its killing me. My gf better understand and let me use it tonight for a while when we are finished rearranging, darn couches are too big.

My Macbook 2.0 has arrived today - I'm in the process of reinstalling OS X right now :)
Ordered on the 30th, it shipped on the 3rd.

No moo, no whine, no scratch, happy me :D

Having ordered my MacBook on the 19th of May, the ETA is now the 16th of June for delivery.

The MB was dispatched on the 1st of June, so if it is delivered on time it shall have taken 11 working days to arrive, which is totally unacceptable.

This really has removed all of the initial excitement I had over buying a Mac.

I just got an email from Apple stating they've now shipped out my MacBook via FedEx. That's 2 days ahead of schedule! Oh man, I hope it gets here next Tuesday, that would be prime. Gah, I'm so excited!
