I'm not quite sure if shipped from originating depot actually means its on a flight. If I recall correctly usually there's a message with "flight booked" or something like that before it actually flys off. At least, that's the way it was with K&N. Kind of odd that yours actually already shows up on TNT and not on K&N. 😕 As long as it gets there I guess

So I think I might be able to shave two days off the time right there. I think I'm still in the running. 😛 😉 😀

It must be the typhoon that is keeping us from our Macbooks. This is from bbc:
China's typhoon death toll rises
The typhoon caused heavy rain in Shanghai
The number of people killed in southern China by Typhoon Chanchu has risen to at least 16. The deaths happened in Guangdong and Fujian provinces, where houses were destroyed in floods and landslips. More than a million people have been taken to safety. Chanchu is the strongest typhoon on record to have hit the region during the month of May.
And from the service alerts section on the TNT website:
China 17th May 2006: Please be advised that due to typhoon "Chan Chu" in Xiamen, China all export and import flights from the 17th and 18th May are expected to be delayed. Pick up and deliveries will also be affected due to the roads affected. It is asked that escalations are held and note that systems will be updated after the weather is back to normal.
Looks like our Macbooks have delayed two days due to the typhoon. I got my shipment notification from Apple on 18th but apparently it has been shipped from Suzhou this evening. Hopefully for us europeans the Macbooks will ship directly to Europe now.

I think it takes about 12 hours until Apecode etc start working, but i'm not sure.....

One question for all of those who havent recieved there's yet...Are any of you getting nervous your MacBook will be plagued with problem's? as everywhere I look I seem to see a new problem turn up, from overheating and badly applied thermal paste to graphics cards corruptions after sleeping and not to mention the whining reports....
Hopefully these are all blown out and out MacBook's will be fine,

We only hear of problems. All those with perfect macbooks never post that it's working so it's a little one sided. I'm not worried. If there's any hardware problem within the first year apple will replace/repair it, if you havent taken out optional applecare, or 3 years if you have. You usually find if the hardware is going to go wrong, it will do in the first year. I always wait to buy applecare; usually towards the end of my first year - just in case it ever goes back or swap for a different model within that first year.....

Mine shipped out the 18th but the estimated delivery-date is the 30th... I ordered mine on the day of release with upgrades on HDD and RAM - it's my first mac and I super excited!!
They are not using TNT... I don't really get it... Don't they usually use TNT??? Or they used TNT last time I bought an iPod from them any how...

Now that I can see it on the TNT website it says that the pickup date is the 21st May - so I guess it won't get picked up until tomorrow from Apple (unless it is showing AP timezone)..
