Well i'm not trying to get anyone in trouble. But yes he's apart of the design team. He also talked about some kinda 5 point touch pad? Not sure wtf that's about, but the current mb has a 3 point touch pad. I just wanted to confirm that it's going to be released this month for sure.

Calm down smart ass, i've never called anybody a fool... and was not intending to. Please if you have nothing better to say just ****.

Even if everything you say is true (that's a rather big "if")...

Where does that leave us?

Okay, so new Macs will be released this month- that's only what you AND every other major rumor site says!

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pascal's_Wager

I'm guessing that the 'Brick' is most likely an accessory, and not a new feature of the Macbook. Just the way it has been mentioned and how Apple works...

Remember, whatever is released on the 14th, by participating in these forums you are setting yourself up for major disappointment. ;)

There is not much difference and I would like a little bit wider screen:

Hey Kabunaru, I think we all know you want 16:9. You've mentioned it on multiple threads already. But come on, if the new ones are still 16:10, but happen to be the most amazing computers ever built in the history of mankind, you'd still want one, right?

Yes, even if it is 16:10 but I am still certain that the new MacBooks will be 16:9.
Let us wait and see.

I'm done with this forum. I don't have time to sit around just to argue about a release date.

Your argument is ridiculous...
"he wouldnt just tell you. He would tel the world"

Not everyone is like you, people dont go around blabbing their personal info/secrets to the world. Some people rather keep things to themselves and closer friends..

I'm out kids, have fun hitting the refresh button, and flaming everyone for bringing some info. Get a life. Believe it or not, its not my issue.

im sorry that ive been rude towards you

How about a smart power brick?

What if the brick was a smart power brick that integrated some of the ports which don't really need to be on the actual laptop (e.g., ethernet) - similar to what some other companies have done. This would allow it to be much thinner. Might also have some enviro monitoring built into it

Please come back!
I am missing you already!!!

It's definitely a possibility but the designers at Apple are innovators. HP already introduced something like this on the Envy 133. Apple won't copy.

Current Style Isn't Perfect

Just as long as it doesn't crack the palm rest like the current Macbooks...

The current bezel where my wrists rest while typing is not very practical. It's sharp and can hurt after a vast amount of typing.

I think they should curve this out a bit... Just a tad. A little smoother.

But in regards to the magnetic latch, it's really just as simply as the hatch closure being unreliable, bulky, intrusive and annoying to constantly use. It requires an additional bend of the thumb.

A good friend of mine has pretty bad trouble (with arthritis) and the way the MBP is setup.

I don't have any intention to defend anyone but there is no reason to get so harsh on someone because he just gave an information that could not be proven.

Obviously he doesn't want to get in detail about where he got that information, so we just leave it there.

I hope he's right about what he says and Macbooks will be released this month.

My friend told me his cousins g/f has a baby daddy and he has an uncle who has a friend who just got out of prison but when he was in prison he had a cellmate whose uncle LeRoy works as security at a bank and one of the tellers told him that she knows a guy who knows a guy that works at Cupertino and that guy said "Nothing is going to happen on the 14th". ;)

Not too long now. I'll be excited again this Tuesday because I'll want to see something about an event for the 14th!

Maybe...

Maybe 'the brick' is an external box that provides extra slots and a DVD/optical drive and maybe the hardwire ethernet port and power with as has been said before, also perform 'dock like' functions like video, modem and more USB interfaces.

It would make sense.

Apple seems to be on a bent witht he 'Air' and not having much in the way of ports. If you remember the original Mac and Fat Mac, you see no slots, no ports and no expansion. The 'Air' seems to be a step back to that past?

That seems to be the only reason for 'the Brick'. Some kind of external device. How much do users actually use the DVD drive? I find that aside from the ease of having it built in, not having it wouldn't be a huge issue, as long as I can hot-plug 'the Brick' in when I need it and detach it when I don't. Hey, how about 'the Brick' also containing more battery capacity.

That would be cool. One thing that I loved about my HP notebook is that I could (and did) but a clip on battery that nearly doubled the runtime. I could learn to love 'the Brick'...
