can't anyone tell me whether one can patch from a patch or just from a native OS?

Mid 2010 IMAC and after using the Dosdude's patcher mine stayed on 10.6?
Thank you for the reply and the development work on the patcher. I will wait patiently for future releases with full automation. Have a great day.
This worked like a charm."Updating"
George Colgrove,
I managed to solve it by checking the APFS Patch box.
Try to solve it there for you.
It is still starting with the first screen showing a screen with a lot of letters going up.
Still looking for the solution for this, since this iMac has native APFS support.
"Updating 2"
I was able to solve the problem of the black screen by this procedure.
2011 iMac Graphics Card Upgrade
EDIT: 8/16/20 NEW AGC kexts have been added to change "board-id" to "board-ix" in the AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy binary. This has the same affect as "agdpmod=pikera" from Whatevergreen, this upload is for AMD users. "instant on" K3100m/k4100m/k5100m/780m etc cards need this kext to fix...forums.macrumors.com
Yep, it's an update from me. Should fix the issue where some third-party apps crash occasionally when launched.Hi there,
Is it normal that Patch Updater just asked to me to make an update about "... library update ..."? (I don't remember exactly the sentence). I've done it, but suddenly, I was afraid it could be a wrong update not from dosdude1?
Vincent.
Please thoroughly read page 1, Entry #1, in this thread.
That is the way to correct way to Patch.

Thank you Dosdude very much; soo apreciated; hopefully, this will also solve the recent appearance of intermittent choppy audio with bluetooth headset use with Zoom that to resolve, was disconnecting and reconnecting the bluetooth headset (Sony WH1000 X2) until another intermittent event.I have updated the Zoom patch for non-Metal video cards to work with the latest Zoom versions. If you have been having a no video issue after updating Zoom, this patch should take care of that. Just download the attached script, extract, and run.
Works perfectly thanks (after the initial crash, relaunch the app and it won't crash again)
I use after each new update install or program crashes (Office and Adobe in particular:You're lucky, mine takes 3 times to open Chrome, but it works
Can't do this, as it prevents any program from being able to ask for permissions, for things such as using your microphone and camera.I use after each new update install or program crashes (Office and Adobe in particular:
1. sudo mount -uw / ; killall Finder
2. sudo nvram boot-args=amfi_get_out_of_my_way=0x1
reboot
It works right away; although a manual process easy and immediste effect.
just my 2 cents
Hi, Strange I have not had such problems with any program using mic or camera...Can't do this, as it prevents any program from being able to ask for permissions, for things such as using your microphone and camera.
Hi. I have just turned on my Mac Pro 4,1-5,1 and this has appeared. But I haven´t had a single problem in my mac since I installed Catalina.
