I’m trying to find an original vanilla macOS Ventura 13.6.x installer (preferably 13.6.3 / 22G436, but 13.6 / 13.6.6 / 13.6.7 would also work).

Apple seems to have removed all 13.6.x InstallAssistant packages from their catalogs/CDN, and gibMacOS now only shows Ventura 13.7.8.

I’m running a MacBook Air 2015 with OCLP, and Ventura 13.7.8 Safari/WebKit is noticeably heavier and glitchier on this machine.

Does anyone still have original InstallAssistant.pkg or untouched “Install macOS Ventura.app” for any 13.6.x build?
I’m specifically looking for a vanilla Apple installer, not a Hackintosh distro/ISO.

You can find working links to older versions of Safari here: https://theapplewiki.com/wiki/Safari
For example, there is Safari 17.6 and some older versions available for Ventura, which is maybe anything you need from Ventura 13.6 - so you could maybe go with Ventura 13.7 and still use Safari 17.6 ...

MacBook Pro 2015
open core 2.4.0

I was able to install macOS 15.7 and the open core launched once on the desktop but when I tried open core 2.4.1 and macOS 13.7.8 installation was successful but I was not able to install open core on the local storage, nor did it show up on Launchpad.

Is there a specific version of open core that works with Ventura 13.7.8 or do I need version 0.x or 1.x instead of 2.x

I'll try 2.4.0 since that worked with macOS 15.7 on my MacBook Pro 2015

I'll also try 15.7.5 using 2.4.0 later

I see what you mean. I thought that since the links are still available that the files would still be accessible.

I checked internet archive and using the keywords Ventura install assistant, I was able to see packages for 13.6.4, 13.6.5, 13.6.6, and 13.6.7

UPDATE: The reason I wanted to try to install macOS 13.x on my MacBook Pro 2015 was to have AirDrop detect devices running older operating systems. When my MacBook Pro 2015 was running macOS 15.7.x it can only detect my iPhone 11 Pro Max running iOS 18.7 while the iPhone 7 Plus running iOS 15.x and the iPad 6 and iPad 9 both running iPadOS 16.x were not.

Unlike my experience when installing macOS 15.7 using open core 2.4.0 which automatically pops up after successful macOS installation, I had to download open core from Github and thankfully, Wi-Fi was working on macOS 13.x so I just had to connect to the network, install open core and apply root patches.

Now that my MacBook Pro 2015 is running macOS 13.7.8 it is now able to detect the iPhone 7 Plus running iOS 15.x and the iPad 6 and the iPad 9 both running iPadOS 16.x while still detecting the iPhone 11 Pro Max running iOS 18.7

The iPhone 7 Plus and iPad 6 and iPad 9 all can now send and receive files to and from the MacBook Pro 2015 while the iPhone 11 Pro Max can still be detected by the MacBook Pro 2015 despite downgrading macOS. I don't know what it is about macOS 15.7 but only the iPhone 11 Pro Max was detected during AirDrop. I haven't tried macOS 14.8 to see if the same thing will happen but I'll just stick with 13.7 at this time.

I just have to install macOS 15.7 on another partition/disk so that apps from the Mac App Store that cannot be downloaded on macOS 13.7.x because they require a newer macOS release can be downloaded again.

I still have the App Store links for version 14.5 of Keynote, Numbers, and Pages but when you paste the web links on a browser, they are no longer available. I can download the Creator Studio versions [using macOS 15.7] but I don't know if I can download the Ventura compatible versions. I guess I'll just use LibreOffice instead.

To install older versions from the App Store don't search or go directly to app page, you must find it on your previous purchases by clicking on your name on the botton left, scroll to find the app then click on the cloud icon. This is the only way app store will let you install older versions. Keynote, Numbers, and Pages 14.5 are there as separate apps as this is a special case.

If not previously purchased you can do it on a newer macOS then return to older one and it will appear on the previous purchase list allowing you to download an older version.

You got me curious and I made some download tests here. I don't have a Ventura install right now to test, I'm on Sonoma and Mojave (for 32-bit reasons). Only made the tests with Pages, but the same applies to the other iWork apps.

On my account purchases I see Pages as the two option shown on the images. I had to scroll all the way down to find 14.5.

Strangely the new one shows as being purchased on 2016, but it won't allow me to download since it requires Sequoia. And the 14.5 one downloads 14.5 on Sonoma, and it prompted me to download version 10.1 on Mojave. You'll probably get v14.1 on Ventura, by clicking on Pages 14.5 🙄 (Steve Jobs would never have allowed this mess 😄).

Strangely on Mojave if i click on Pages 14.5 (not the cloud icon) it shows a can't connect error, but the cloud icon works to download 10.1.

This really is the first time that multiple version co-exist, probably due to the stupid Apple Creator Studio subscription to squeeze even more money out of us. 🤑

I was attempting to connect an external monitor to my 2011 MacBookPro8,3 running Ventura 13.7.8. Sadly it still did not work after doing a Post-Install Root Patch?

What might I be missing?
Interestingly my 2010 MacBookPro6,1 running Sequoia has no issue with the same external monitor and cable.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

1. The monitor is a ViewSonic 32in FHD 1080 IPS, 75Hz.
2. The cable is a BENFEI Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter 4K, Thunderbolt 2 to HDMI Adapter.
3. BENFEI 8K HDMI to HDMI Cable, Certified Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable 4K@240Hz, 8K@60Hz, HDMI 2.1, 6 Feet, 48Gbps, Aluminum Shell, Nylon Braided.

Yes sir, plugs right into the 2010 MacBookPro6,1 without needing to do anything.
Do go with the 2011 MacBookPro8,3 after installing Post-Install Root Patch.

***UPDATE***

Turning off Automatic graphics switching has helped stabilize my setup.
Turning it on would cause the computer screen to not awaken and force a hard reboot.
Hopefully this can help others.
