Wait do accelerated graphics now work? If so, this is great news!!For those who might be interested:
I did use Ventura beta and OCLP 0.5.0 on my MacBook Pro mid 2012 during the last couple of days as a daily driver and can’t report any issues.
Performance wise it feels like pretty much the same like Monterey does. I did use Safari a lot including YouTube, taking notes, making Time Machine backups, lots of copying tasks in Finder to and from external HDD. An external monitor was also connected. Airplay worked surprisingly well. The DYLD folder within the Ventura system folder seems to be gone/moved and this installation freed up 15gb in cache files comparing to Monterey.
However from time to time I could see spindump process popping up in activity monitor which is normal behaviour for a beta.
Having said that, I in no way recommend doing the same. However if you want to give it a go, you can use this experience and decide whether it’s worth taking the risk. I only report it for my specific setup.
Be aware of the risks and always have a working USB standalone installer as well as a time machine back up at hand.
works ok just need use oc085 and not the internal picker.. maybe have to use refit to boot oc..(but I use tianocore/coreboot) then use cryptxx.kext and lilu and oc085 for install.. then after do sip 803 and amfigetoutofmyway (and maybe nv-disable for u retail bios) and then complie oclp 0.5a then install root patch. I have macbookpro10,1 with disabled nvidiaSorry to ask a very annoying question - but are things looking more positive to getting graphics acceleration going?
In other words, how are things looking for the future of a mid 2012 MacBook Pro in terms of ever being able to run Ventura like I can run Monterey?

I can confirm that Tuxera ntfs works fine within Ventura.Ah, didn’t know that: a little like Parallels, thus. Anyway, they have been very quiet, for some time: well, let’s see when Ventura launches officially…
it hard hangs when i write to it.. but ok with paragon oneI can confirm that Tuxera ntfs works fine within Ventura.

i have wd usb so i can use the free one from paragron. after the hang i lost some files because they were moved and end up not copied but deleted.. anyway they work the same so i stayed with paragron onenot to me. Did you accept all security values?
Nice boot drive name.
That is why page #1 is still worth a read from time to time ;-)Wait do accelerated graphics now work? If so, this is great news!!
You can circumvent it on cMP3,1 by using a simple (even non-powered) USB hub attached to any of the built-in USB2 ports, connect your kbd/mouse to it and you're fine...
Does a cmp3,1 cpu knows avx2 ? Release year 2008 ? Or why and how is it possible to run Ventura on the classic Mac pros? Just asking…😁Thank you, it works.
BT works with Ventura on the passive hub of the Mac keyboard.
Follow the advice found on post #1061.Does a cmp3,1 cpu knows avx2 ? Release year 2008 ? Or why and how is it possible to run Ventura on the classic Mac pros? Just asking…😁
the usb issue is because slow cpu speed.. same for hddDon’t know if anyone can reproduce this, but after updating to beta 11 the power management issue is back. MacBook Air 2021 CPU speed fixed at 1.7 Ghz. Also USB 3 speeds are absolutely terrible, below even USB 2.
maybe oc085 smbios ? or other thing can fix? is tell you the slow speed from intel gadget power tool?Makes sense. Just wanted to give my feedback. This is just a test installation precisely for this purpose.
the latest update is 22A5373bhello I installed ventura beta 10 & now its showing me update in update to beta 9
