Nice to know. Is it after moving from one OCLP v. to another and/or updating macOS? What if you do both?

macOS 14.2.1 (23C71) with KDK_14.2_23C64.pkg (see below) OTA update works like a charm with OCLP 1.3.0 release on MP5,1 | RX580 | 990 Pro NVMe 😍 (MacMini's, iMacs and MBP's 11,X 12,X also OTA from 14.2 to 14.2.1 as expected)

(If you don't want the older beta KDK (KDK_14.2_23C5047e) will be installed by OCLP, simply rename your 14.2 KDK Folder from KDK_14.2_23C64.kdk to KDK_14.2.1_23C71.kdk before patching and then reapply patches if your machine needs the KDK ;-) until the real KDK_14.2.1_23C71 will be released)

Hi,

I recently upgraded my late 2013 MBP Retina 11,1 Notebook with OCLP 1.30 to Sonoma 14.2.

I pretty much let the patcher run on Auto settings with no custom configurations.

So everything is almost working fine except every now and then I get a pop-up disclaimer
stating 'WifiAgent has quit unexpectently' ignore to continue. Anyhow if I ignore it comes back
like five times before it goes away but I really don't have any issues with Wifi at all and internet
works.

So not sure how to resolve this issue. Everything is stock apple. Going to upgrade the hard drive
in a few days as well. Ordered a Sintech adapter (the one with the backing) and a Sk Hynix P31
nvme drive.

Wish me luck there.

New to running Sonoma on unsupported hardware. Upgraded bigsur Late 2013 retina MacBookPro11,1 with OCLP 1.30 to Sonoma 14.2 successfully. Only thing is I get a 'WifiHelper has quit' popup occasionally. Wifi is functional at least. So wonder are there any post installation tweaks necessary? Any precautions for future software updates? Also what is KDK?

May reinstall root patches and do a nvram reset on next boot (space bar in OCLP boot menu) KDK (Kernel Development Kit) provided by apple and OCLP will install if required on your mac so don't worry - and may take a closer look at https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/START.html ;-)

Upgrade went well for each iteration. I'm currently on 14.2 OCLP 1.3.0. I ran an extended memtest from boot and no issues with memory. Any ideas on how to find the root cause of this? Thanks!

Is the issue reproducible while running in safe mode, new user, running a good know system from a different (external) ssd?

Have you checked console logs for issues around the time you had to hard reset the system?

Please refer to Mr. Macintosh's latest video about OCLP 1.3.0. Update (position 3:50). You'll see which machines need KDKs and how to install them if needed. If you start the OTA update and OCLP does not force KDK downlaod automatically, your machine most probably does not need KDKs. After that clarification I deleted the KDK folder on my Mac. No issues afterwards. My Macbook Pro was updated without any KDKs. No problems there either. Hope this is useful...

Updated my iMac 13,1 to 14.2.1—much faster opening settings, files and other items.
Updated without issue. I’ll report back in a few days giving an update. For some reason in 14.2 opening settings and options in settings would take 5-7 seconds. Now it’s almost instant. Slight delay but very acceptable.

This as FYI: After updating to 14.2.1 my trackpad became unresponsive/freezing up.This was a userwide only issue.

Since i do use a Bluetooth mouse from time to time, i assumed for some reason it might tought the mouse was still connected and ignored any trackpad input.

Luckily i had root enabled, deleted all bluetooth and trackpad related plists in the prefs folder of the user concerned, logged back in and was back up and running.

rMBP10,1 updated from 14.2 + 1.3.0 to 14.2.1 OTA. OCLP auto-prompted to do the post install root patches on first login.

Only issue was it wouldn't talk to Magic Moose 2 until I plugged it in briefly via USB -> Lightning port. It connected and's been fine ever since, touch wood. I've had to do that mouse cable connection thing after the last few updates, anyone else?
