An ARM version of Windows won't really be as valuable as you might think it is.Does this mean I can run Windows virtually without paying for Parallels or downloading VirtualBox?

Just shy the 20 years Jobs promised.
Yeah, I was disappointed to see the 'look' of where macOS is headed. I get the desire to unify the aesthetic of all apple OSes but...man. Feels like the soul of the mac is slowly draining. I don't want to stare at a giant ipad when using my mac!Ugh. The iOSification of MacOS is complete.
Also, strange that they didn't share any benchmarks comparing their chip with Intel chips.
That's an interesting question, but I think my answer probably doesn't really change. VMware Fusion and the non-App Store Parallels Desktop use their own virtualization technologies which should continue to work, with updates, and the App Store Parallels should also work to run Intel software.I should've clarified. If I install macOS Big Sur on my Intel-based Mac, will I be able to use Apple's built-in virtualization software to install Windows?
Or, is the virtualization software strictly for running ARM-based software?

Actually, I think we now have a reasonable explanation for the smelly mess that is Catalina: Apple has had all their A-team on Big Sur for the past 2 years. I'm super excited! With Catalina still being the new MacOS "Vista" I cannot not feel excited about a new MacOS version without addressing Catalina's problems first.
Lots of iGag features but I bet you still can't resume a failed file transfer of multiple files in the Finder.

But will the next year's release be called macOS 11.1 or will it proceed straight to macOS 12, 13, 14, etc?
