My M1 Pro MBP is actually going a step farther - NONE of my inputs are registered for the first 5-15s of the lid being opened. Haven’t tried a restart yet.
I have M4 Pro MBP, mine wakes up properly when I open the lid.
Let's wait for beta 2.

Since the morning Mission Control stop working. I going to restart.

Update: Restarting fixed Mission Control, now I will wait for the sleep bug!

My 16" M1 Pro did the same thing and had great battery life as normal. My new, 15" M5 MacBook Air doesn't have that issue, but the battery life is junk. Seems to just be part of the fun with beta testing.

How’s Stage Manager performance? It always seemed to drop frames whenever you had several apps open, no matter how fast your GPU is. (Tested on M1, M1 Max, and M4 Pro)

Charging is so random, it won't respect the 80% charging limit. I get it that it does charge to 100% once in a while, but it's doing it way too often. Now it says charging will stop at 80%, but it's at 98% and still charging.

Mine has been charging only to 80% without issue. I didn't need to reset the value back to 80% either, but I upgraded from MacOS 26.6 if that makes a difference.

Well, unless I shut the laptop down, in which case the software controlling the limit is obviously no longer running, so it goes to 100%.

My Macbook Pro is stuck on Sequoia forever, so I can’t join your fun until it releases publicly and I install it on my work laptop.

Are MacOS folders as funky with the dark left and right outlines like iOS 27 beta 1? Any chance anyone wants to post a zoomed light mode folder with a light background?

Curious to see how this all unfolds the next few betas
They did that with elements like folder in this case to make them stand out more, people complained about lack of contrast so that’s one of their solutions for now

In macOS 27 these dark outlines can now be seen on toolbar buttons for example

Update 2: Touching the Touch ID button now unlock the wakes up and unlock the MacBook without the need to press the button. So restarting might solve these type of issue for now.

I'm noticing Contacts sync on Golden Gate seems broken. iOS 27 and iCloud.com stay up to date, but changes don't get pushed or pulled from GG correctly. I've turned off sync via iCloud settings, and the handshake doesn't seem to corrrect

Has anyone else experimented with this bug? Figure any way to correct it in GG?

Since I've become aware of it again, I see at this point my Mac is off on contact count by six or seven.. I've also killall contactsd to see if that'll trip it. No VPN, etc

I don't have many contacts, so it could affect those with a large number of them
I disabled, removed the AddressBook cache associated with iCloud (rm -rf ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.AddressBook), then logged off and back in as well. Re-enabled, and strangely.. it still downloaded a version of the Contacts list that doesn't include some recent contacts (including a few test contacts) that have been added

So yah, I'm stuck for now.. the workaround is to make sure all new contacts are added via Mac instead of iCloud website or iPhone (that syncs properly)

So my iP Air is at 7710 contacts, and my Mac is at 7705 (removed test contacts from both.) I'm missing five new ones added by iPhone from this past week..

If beta 2 doesn't resolve it, I'll probably move 'em to a Google account and sync that instead..

Ouch.. if I move it all to Google - some things get lost:

What you'd lose or have to manage differently

  • Related Names field — Apple's "related name" schema (spouse, child, parent, etc.) doesn't map cleanly to Google's schema. These often get flattened to a generic label or dropped on sync, which matters for you tracking Tosha, Jacob, Jonah, and Noah as related contacts.
  • My Card / business card designation — Your own card (used for AirDrop, Messages sharing, Mail signatures) is tied to the local "On My Mac" or iCloud source. It stays functional, but it won't sync as a "me card" the way it does under iCloud.
  • Phonetic name fields and social profile formatting — Apple-specific metadata sometimes doesn't round-trip cleanly through CardDAV translation to Google's contact schema.
  • Smart Groups — These are local/rule-based and aren't tied to either iCloud or Google, so they're unaffected, but manually created Groups behave more like Google's "Labels," which is a minor UI difference, not a data loss.
  • Find My / Messages tap-to-share integration — These features lean on iCloud-linked contacts more tightly; Google-sourced contacts work fine for messaging and calling, but some of Apple's "this is associated with your Apple ID" conveniences (e.g., automatic Family Sharing contact visibility) are iCloud-specific.

Oh wow! I signed out completely out of iCloud, restarted, signed back in.. NO data is being repopulated from the Apple Cloud server on this Mac

Looks like I may have to start over tonight.. it seems my issue is isolated to me =(

Anyone else have ideas? Little Snitch is off and completely disabled.. that's the only app I can think of that may interfere
