On my Mac Air M4 the Siri app has vanished from the dock leaving a question mark. Was fine upto I updated to beta 3 this morning. I've removed the question mark from the doc.

Edit: app was still present and does re-appear in the dock if you re-add it. Strange.....

I have the list. I can normally get to 3840 x 1080 on my monitor, but since this update I can only go to 3072 x 864 and when I try to change to a higher one it doesn't like it. I had to use BetterDisplay to force it.

Mine too. It used to scale up the resolution to 7680x3240 beyond the bounds of the monitor and then shrink it back down to 3840x1620 (in my case) as a HiDPI resolution and looked crisp

Now it just scales up and displays 3840x1620 on the 5120x2160 panel and looks really fuzzy as it would

What happened with the Wallpaper? look fine on the Neo, not on the pro tho.

Virtual desktops are very broken for me. They all show the same “desktop” - for example if I have window a on desktop 1 all other virtual desktops on that screen will show window a.

Also I have a multi monitor set up for work - 3 external plus MacBook screen and when dragging windows from one monitor to another sometimes on release the window jumps to an almost offscreen position where just a bit of it is visible.

It's replaced with Siri
It doesn't make any sense.

It opens this UI which I can't use to open file or folders, as I can with Spotlight.

I'd rather disable Siri than losing my menu bar item...

___

Edit: I opened the new Siri app and now the menu bar item triggers the correct UI.

for me beta 3 is much much better vs beta 2
it is not perfect but for now no more battery drains where safari was getting laggy as hell after a while
I got randomly 3gb pages like Strava, now it is no more here and the

they started to play with the side panel in safari but have no idea how the hell that mess is put there for so long (side panel in Safari is messing the top menu bar if you have auto hide turned on so you can't go to bookmarks or tabs etc.) last time it was working correctly was with Sequoia I think (and as a side panel user I'm really considering going back to Sequoia) and ofc still you can't turn of left side touch auto showing the panel when in full screen 🤦

BetterDisplay might be borked on this beta...

Woke my machine from sleep and my display went crazy, turning the brightness all the way down by itself to the point of not being on. Fought with it by holding brightness up and it pulsed and fought and continued turning the brightness back down on me.

Eventually beat it out in our war of attrition by holding brightness up long enough to see BetterDisplay and quit it. Issue immediately stopped.
this happened to me to, but it's been consistently ok after a single reboot (so far, anyway)...

I think it's something to do with DHCP. Messing around with it more, making the IPv4 address static seems to have resolved it with my ethernet adapter. The Wi-Fi started acting up shortly after I made that post.

I'm occasionally getting site certificate errors which is weird. I had no issues until upgrading to DB3.

UPDATE: Thought of something while in shower that always is last on my mind. Turns out the culprit was CrowdStrike Falcon's sensor. Uninstalling it seemed to fix everything.
I had the same issue, but was able to resolve with CrowdStrike Falcon still being installed. I had to go into Wi-Fi and Network settings for my ethernet adapter and specifically turn off "Limit IP Address Tracking" for both connections. So far it's been working well after that, even though Private Relay was not enabled.

appstoreagent, dasd, siriactiond issues seem to have been resolved for me. on a Neo, an M4 mini and my MBP M5 .
I wish to report the same. Other problems, like certain swift apps, having missing click events and such.. and some swift apps , are now performing a lot better. No idea why its only certain swift apps.

(shared uses different icon, the look of the active tab has changed, and the spacing between the controls on the right is tighter)
Nice improvements.

It's worth previewing these images side-by-side, as there are other subtle changes.

- The traffic light buttons now have a slight border around them again, to make them more 3D.

- The bar above the status bar has slightly thinner lines.

- The selection in the sidebar is darker, increasing contrast.

Anyone seeing issues with DNS resolution? I've noticed there's often a delay when I try to load a new webpage on a domain I haven't visited in a while. Sometimes I have to refresh to get the page to load. Othertimes it times out. I was seeing this in Safari in b2, and now I'm seeing it across all browsers.

Yes. You can try turning off "Limit IP address tracking" in the Wi-Fi settings or network adapter settings for your networks to see if this resolves it. Others have been able to resolve this by removing VPN and security software, like AnyConnect, GlobalProtect, and CrowdStrike Falcon.

Interestingly for me Safari was working fine but Chrome was not.

Does anybody know why it went back from H to J from beta 2 to beta 3?
Even if a build is newer, its stability can differ from previous builds. It will trend upward though, even if there are a few dips along the way.
