Toolbar background is still inconsistently applied. In one case dragging the top of the window fails unless I wait for the hover to show the toolbar.

Finder navigation with column view still has some bugs introduced with beta 4. Like I’ve selected folder A and the column is still showing me the contents of folder B. Or sometimes no content will appear so I have to select the folder again.

I think the Aqua traffic lights are place holders and a more high quality version will replace it soon.

1. Can we please have Apple return to sanity with MUSIC app and put the control bar back on top. It's dumb to have it on the bottom where every other app has control panels on top or sides. Doesn't make any sense.

2. What the hell is the PREVIEW icon now. What a mess.
Music keeps getting worse. Apple peaked with iTunes 12. It had an easy-to-navigate UI that allowed different types of media to be played together. I never understood the calls to break the application apart.

When I can no longer use bogdanw’s method for running iTunes on M-series Macs, I’ll just use my Intel Macs to play music on iTunes for as long as those computers will run.

The new Preview icon is a step in the right direction after the amaturish shotglass icon, but the colourful background is sloppy. Apple should consider using a proper picture behind the loupe. Ultimately, Apple should get rid of the squircle jail and allow truly beautiful icons on macOS again.

I couldn't agree more with the squircle jail. What a disaster. Everything looks the same and boring.

I really hate how they’ve made the new Siri icon just open the listening UI instead of Spotlight, especially with the Spotlight menu bar item being removed too.

I honestly don’t understand why they had to remove it. Why take away something users have been relying on for years?

I’m also still seeing issues with text. When I copy text over, the highlighted options briefly appear in a different position on the screen. You’d think something like this would have been resolved by now...

I miss iTunes 10.7. The UI adopting the colours of the album art when in Album view can look ugly but I think the reason why makes up for it. It provides just enough personality to make the potential for ugliness endearing. I have 10.7 installed on a 2012 MBP I keep around for iPod syncing. iTunes 12 was great too, I definitely prefer it to the current state of Music.

I noticed the new Preview icon on the iOS 27 beta the other day and was like "what the heck is this?" I think the interactable loupe inside the app is cute, it made me wonder if Pages, Keynote, and Numbers had little toys in their apps but, unfortunately, they do not. It doesn't make up for icon. To be fair the icon is closer to the older design than macOS 26. I think the photo is supposed to be an aerial shot of a beach, but it the thick white border it looks messy.

In light mode, the widgets are missing the highlights at the top and bottom. If you check them out in Dark Mode, they look a lot more like Liquid Glass because of those highlights. I hope they fix this.
I think the light mode buttons look better than dark mode and I hope they fix it the other way around

What does need looking at is the green ‘full screen’ button where there should be a setting to change the default behaviour to ‘fill’. I’d argue this should also be the default behaviour.

Anyone new to Mac presses this button expecting to maximise the window and gets thrown into a new space with no obvious way out. Not great UX.
I couldn’t agree more. I almost never use full screen mode because it’s so inflexible. It feels like Apple executives forced that because of their own workflows

What I really want is the old zoom behavior returned and fixed. Resizing the window to fit the contents is really cool (when it works)

I still think they should make the stop lights .00000001 mm. Then we would never be able to click on them, and could all stop wasting our valuable time trying to educated a FIVE effing trillion dollar company about BASIC UI/UX design. Yes!

I wonder if they made them somewhat small to encourage users to learn keyboard shortcuts ha. It does seem like Mac users know them better than most Windows users

I bet if they made them bigger a different group of people would be complaining that the UI looks like "Fisher Price" lol

All they need to do is make them EXACTLY like the Windows buttons. BIGGER active area! And apps should behave the same way windows does. CLOSED, in between size, and full screen. Not this fiasco that apple foists upon us. If they did this, I would sign a waiver that I would NEVER complain that... as well all know, they are on the wrong corner 🙂

Log off - misfired request for Continuity

There’s a bug with Continuity in the General settings. If Continuity is enabled, very often on logoff an error shows up saying “All “< unknown> to find devices on local networks” - AFTER the logoff is complete and one is sitting afresh on the login screen

I’ve tested and verified that this is directly connected to the Continuity function. If you turn this off, this untimely request does not show up. Regardless if one selects “Don’t Allow” or “Allow” - the choice never sticks. Screenshot of this included

I’ve seen others in forums document the same behavior
