Not Sonoma. Its been bug after bug. There are also at least 3 major zero days Apple refuses to patch.macOS is a solid and stable !!!
Interesting that you say that. Sonoma has been very stable for me since I jump on to it at version 14.1. This is the first issue I have. Not Sonoma. Its been bug after bug. There are also at least 3 major zero days Apple refuses to patch.
This is why I never update, even minor updates, for a few weeks until I learn if the update introduces new problems. Props to all those that update right away so as to let me know....
Some Mac users who updated to Apple's latest macOS Sonoma 14.4 software release are experiencing connectivity issues with USB hubs and monitors with USB ports, with several reports of mice, keyboards, and other peripherals no longer being detected.

While Apple works on a fix, a handful of users have had some success by changing the setting "Allow accessories to connect" to "Ask for new accessories" under the Security section of System Settings ➝ Privacy & Security.

Clean Install...I've been having harddrive ejections since Venture, where they suddenly eject several times, and I get the message that I didn't properly eject the harddrive. Maybe this is related? Never happened in Monterey.
I need to do the same, sounds like same problem. The sudden restart even broke my AFPS encrypted external drive as it wasn’t ejected properly. How did you downgrade to 14.3.1? Is it possible to download that version and install from USB perhaps? Or easier way?Got a 5-6 times kernel panic / day on my 2023 MBP16 M3 Max after I update from 14.3.1 to 14.4. Formatted my SSD and installed 14.3.1 - works like a charm.
Thnx for posting: I reported my problem in the thread.Dunno if it was previously posted but this link seems to have some work arounds that are successful for some people. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/255518397?sortBy=best
Work around wont cut it for enterprise though. We have enough work arounds as it is. I wish Apple would just patch the issues.Dunno if it was previously posted but this link seems to have some work arounds that are successful for some people. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/255518397?sortBy=best

Thanks a lot for the links! I also see that if I don't allow the MacMini to go to sleep, so far I haven't had the kernel panic... But it's just for a few hours, so let's see if it stays like that.Yes, I downloaded Sonoma 14.3.1 from Apple Servers, flashed it to my usb flash drive and install from Recovery System
